For all the avid readers out there, what are you reading right now? How far along in the book are you? What do you think of it so far? How long have you been reading this book and when do you expect to finish? Right now I'm reading "The Black Unicorn" by Terry Brooks. I've been reading it since yesterday morning and I'm almost half-way through. I really love it so far. So what about you? What are you reading?

What's "the Black Unicorn" about? I love it when you pick up a book and it gets you so engaged that you end up reading a good chunk of it in one sitting. You know the author must be good at what he/she does if this is the case! I just finished reading "The Truth About Diamonds" by Nicole Richie, and that one took me about a week. Wasn't as good as I thought it was (although it wasn't bad..) And I just picked up this book called "Deep Economy" (Bill McKibben I think is the author?) and I'm only on about page 26. I made this goal with myself that I'm going to start reading more.. political and "intellectual" books but I usually struggle my way through them. I've been reading it for about a week and haven't made much progress. But I hear it's a great book, although it hasn't seem to have caught my interest quite yet. Hopefully soon, though!

"The Black Unicorn" is the second book in Terry Brook's Magic Kingdom of Landover series. The series is about an ordinary man from our world who buys a magic kingdom from the wizard Meeks, and winds up the King and caretaker of the land. In the second book a black unicorn has been spotted in the kingdom of Landover and the wizard Meeks has returned from Earth in order to capture it and its magic. I'm almost done now, and I've enjoyed the book so far. I'm obsessed with unicorns, personally. I started reading the series because I knew the second book had a unicorn in it.

I'm reading The Surgeon by Tess Gerritsen (maybe 100 pages in), I have just started Denise Welch's autobiography and about 4 chapters into Pride and Prejudice and Zombies which is very funny. I recently finished a crime book about Amelia Dyer which was fascinating but disturbing too.

:) Now I'm reading this book titled "The Lady Tasting Tea: How Statistics Revolutionized Science in the Twentieth Century". It's a great book talking about statistians and their contributions to the science in plain English. I started to read it since last Thursday. Now I'm almost finishing reading it. Since I think statistics in important in scientific research, I would like to read great books on it.

I am reading "Theo's odyssey" by Catherine Clement. I have read it before, but I enjoy reading it again. It is a story about a boy (Theo) who has a terminal illness, and instead of staying at home or at a hospital, he is travelling around the world with his aunt. They visit a many places/countries and Theo learns a lot about the different religions. I like the story and I interested in culture and religions, so it is a nice way to learn something while I am reading a story. The book reminds me of "Sophie's world" by Jostein Gaarder which I also liked a lot.

I've read "The Black Unicorn" and really enjoyed it. Right now I am reading "FlashForward" by Robert J. Sawyer. I really enjoyed the TV series that was based off of it. I was going to wait until the series was over so that I wouldn't ruin the show but eventually gave in. So far it turns out I probably won't ruin anything as they are so different. I love it and I might have found a new author to read!

I'm currently reading The God Delusion by (Sir) Richard Dawkins. I must say that it's a pretty engaging book since Dawkins writes in a very light and entertaining manner.

I have just started reading "The Summons" by John Grisham. I borrowed this book from my uncle, who's also a fan of legal thrillers. I started reading this afternoon, at Starbucks.

I've just started with the second Stieg Larsson book, Flickan som lekte med elden. Or The girl who played with fire in English, it is a Swedish crime novel about a journalist and a hacker, some murders, fires and other nasty buisness. I liked the first so I hope this one is good too.

I am currently reading the fourth book in the Vampire Academy series. It's called Blood Promise by Richelle Mead. I started reading it a couple of days ago. I'm about half way through. This book isn't holding my attention like her other books did. I keep finding an excuse to put it down. I'm pushing through, slowly but surely.
