Hey guys! I am here again to put up a discussion, i hope this discussion can caught your attention. Do you agree with this? "If you want to change the world, start by changing your attitude" For me, yes, i think that quote is true! Before doing big things we first need to start small things and that small things will of course start from ourselves. How about you?

I do agree with this quote. Basically if you want the world to change you have to lead by example. It's hard trying to stay positive and righteous in a world filled with so many scam artists and tragic incidents but we have to push on. I believe that we should all preach what we believe. We must also practice what we preach.

This is a very nice response and i really like it, you are right it is really hard to stay positive and righteous that is why we first need to be one before changing others or the whole world, Imagine if we are having a hard time maintaining ourselves to be positive and righteous then what more helping and changing others? And you are also right, we should preach what we believe. Have a great day.

hey rjvb.. for me i think its not changing our attitude.. but "if you want to change the world, you need to start with yourself".. but i think yours is fine also if the person has an attitude problem.. kidding.. but then i also agree with you.. we cant change the world if people dont see the change in us.. through the little things that we do, we inspire others to follow our little act of kindness or any good act that we do.. have a good day.. ..swollen minds and spoken lies.. ..you'll never hear their silent cries.. - hush

Hi hush, you impressed me, haven't seen intelligent people nowadays and i am lucky to find one here and that is you, anyway you are right, before changing the whole world or helping others with their problems we must first change or help our own. Have a great day!

Have to agree with that. All goals must build up to the ultimate objective.

Yes I agree. The most common thing to do first id to change ourselves attitude. Like from negative to positive way of thinking. Make ourselves be fruitful and productive in the sense that can help to others and the government as well. Just like that, Thank and have a nice day!

You are right, we need to be optimistic and be very productive to the society so that we can be a help in our environment even in our own little ways, and those little ways will become big in the near future.

I agree with that phrase! Everyone is so worried about what everyone else is doing wrong with their lives and "this is the reason that blah blah blah". Well, if we really truely look at ourselves I'm sure we'd find a few things we could do or change to make ourselves a little closer to perfect. It would be nice if everyone could do it at the same time though - it would make the statement a lot more convincing! But think of, I don't know, you decide to take that statement to heart, so you start volunteering at a retirement home. You're not only doing something to improve your life, but you're doing something to improve the life of the folks that you see at the retirement home itself. Then maybe you'll be talking to a friend, or even a stranger about what you've been doing... and then it may possible inspire someone else to do something for another retirement home, or a food bank/pantry, or a soup kitchen - even ringing that dang bell for the salvation army at christmas time. When you start making those changes within your own life - I think then it turns over to "actions speak louder than words" sort of thing....

yes i think everyone should start by improoving themselves. if everyone has the same thinking and they improove themselves then obviously there is nothing left to improove.lol i know of a great song that gives the same message. and the song is "man in the mirror" by michael jackson ;)

once upon a time I thought I might be able to change the world, but at 50 something, I very much doubt I can do much - however, I can do what I can to break the idea that I see in others about races - I try to not prejudge people, but mostly I try to keep the peace. I currently have a troublesome neighbor and if she says something to me that I think one of our neighbors should know about, I will warn them - tho I'm sure she'd think I was "betraying" our race - weirdo... and I thought I was strange!

Yes, I do think that change should start with the individual. I know far too many people who want to tell others what to buy or wear and how to live, but their own lives are nothing but a big mess. It seems that the unhappier someone is the more they want "causes" to make them feel powerful and important. That is not to say that there aren't things that need fixing, but we ought to fix ourselves before we start trying to fix others.

Obviously there are some things we can't change. Your attitude isn't going to prevent an earthquake, for example. But yes, I do believe that changing your attitude can change the world in a small, but positive way, and that if enough of us do it, we can change the world in a bigger way.

Yes I think that we first must change our attitude before we can change the world. We need to first assess within ourselves our feelings, and maybe if we're angry, use that anger constructively to get "change" done, or to "change" for yourself.

Hi RJ, Yes everything needs to start from yourself. no matter how positively you wish for your family, friends and the country as a whole to have peace, love and unity if you are not at peace with yourself, you do not love yourself--you abused it and you're always in disagreement change will never have a place for something good and better.

of course~ you cant just rely it to others and in others view they would rely it to you. so that means you should start to act. and be the role model. others will follow your good deeds and the world would be a better place to live ^^

yes just like what michael jackson said in his song "man in the mirror" I'm starting with the man in the mirror I'm asking him to change his ways And no message could have been any clearer If you wanna make the world a better place Take a look at yourself and then make a change. you want to change the world or the people around you, then start in within
