New Group Forming...Nine Dog Society!

Some friends of mine and I have formed a new group, We call ourselves the Nine Dog Society, a name that comes from a blog a member wrote about special interest money controlling our country. We want to do more than talk about problems, we want to make changes. We have groups on several different social networking sites, and are ready to start our work in the real world. Here is an abbreviated version of that blog. American laws have, in the past several decades, resulted in a stratification of income more unequal than at any time in our history. This stratification in conjunction with campaign policies that effectively reapportion our political voices along income levels have done great damage to our democracy. We no longer have any semblance of equality, we have legalized bribery. Special interest groups now write, promote, and enact our laws openly. This is a disservice to the American people, and an insult to our founders and those who have given their lives in our defense. Perhaps an experiment would be useful to illustrate the point. Suppose you had ten dogs and enough food to feed them all with twenty percent left over. Now give ninety percent of that food to one dog and let the rest fight it out for the remainder. How many happy dogs do you suppose you will have? How long before the one with ninety percent of the food is attacked and killed so that the rest of the pack can survive? Please don't actually try this, but would you consider the nine dogs immoral? Of course you wouldn't, they are doing what they must to survive. They are simply playing by the rules of the natural economy, an economy that we, even with all our contrivances and complications, are also subject to. We are the nine dogs, but for some reason unfathomable to me we are fighting over the scraps and leaving the dog with all the food alone. This would never happen with real dogs of course, the rich dog would eat his fill and walk away leaving the rest to his fellows, but we are not as moral as those dogs would be. Those who suggest we should adopt the morals of dogs are called socialists and told that what is good for the pack is an insult to individual aspirations. We are told that if we suggest that we all survive together we are a stain on our national reputation. I think it is time that the American people adopt at least the level of morality of a pack of dogs. If you agree with what you have just read, please join us. We have a website up, the "Nine Dog Society" and we are planning our strategy and laying the groundwork to start making an impact. This is a non partisan group, we want ALL special interest groups out of American politics. American politics is for American citizens, nowhere in our Constitution is any other entity given that right. We do hope you will join us. The more members the greater they impact will be. http://ninedogsociety.ning.com/

I am not from the US, so in a way this none of my business. Neverhteless, I like to understand the world better. This post does very little in helping us undersatand your stand. The dog story is a good one, but it does not quite explian your stand, to me in any case. Can you explain further, maybe in terms of some standard words like capitalism and socialism? Looking forward to your reply.I am really curious about your gorup.

At the present time there is a great deal of conflict between the two major political parties in the United States. These are the Democratic and Republican parties. Currently both the house and Senate are controlled by a Democratic majority. Our President is also Democratic. This came about as a result of much dissatisfaction over our last Presidential administration. The difference in ideology between the two parties are too great for an explanation here. The reason the web site I pointed you to came into being was because of the current strife between the two parties. It was felt that a site should be devoted not to simply arguing over the differences but to find a way to come together and debate for the common good. And out of that debate take action to bring this country back to center if possible. There is another web site that does not do that. Way to much finger pointing and fighting to ever debate anything. The people who started that site are democratic but welcome anyone as long as they are willing to use common sense and debate the issues sensibly. It really is not something that a person who is not a US citizen may be able to contribute much to but you are welcome to signup and follow the posts. The sign up is free and no participation is required. If you chose to however and believe it will contribute you are welcome to post there also. I think the site would speak for itself if you would care to check it out. So give it a try if you have not already. I think you may enjoy it. http://www.9dogsociety.50webs.com/

I develop the site i am defiantly not a democrat, I follow no political party or indoctrination what so ever. I think all politicians are corrupted by the multi-national corporations not just in the USA. This is a global problem that's why the door are open to all world citizens as well as citizens from all differing political leanings what so ever. I am the co-founder and Gale Nelson is the founder, he is defiantly not pushing his political view into the none political leaning society. We have a separate site called Newsview where people can talk about political issues and post blogs and articles in the forum. We are trying to keep politics at low key and only publish on our Nine Dogs front page. i have also opened group lounges for Democrats, Republicans and many other groups are being open daily to cater for all US political party supporter. Where like minded supporters can have discussions with out being disturbed. The Nine Dog society has only one goal to pressurize governments into passing laws that ensure governance is not corrupted by corporates and multi-national corperates with head quarters on foreign shores. There is no society like Nine Dogs, our fist goal is the USA and then at international similar goals. I am a British National and would resign if Nine dogs took any form of political leaning. Any one can join if they want to make the changes we do. Really this is not away to stop the political bickering i wish we could. But a common goal of world citizens that hate this corporate corruption and want their vote what ever it be worth something. At present its a raffle to see what corporate power runs the USA or else where. politician should be the servants and representatives of the people. Best wishes to you all.. Bob Johnson-Perkins Co-Founder of the Nine Dogs Society.

Bob I do apologize if I mis-represented your web site. That was not my intent. Thank you for setting it straight. I joined your site just after leaving sodahead but admit I have not found the time I should to devote to it. What you are attempting to do is a very worthy cause and you truly have an up-hill battle in the US to make a difference but I think you will. Thanks again for setting this straight and I again apologize.
