Do people shove you with shopping Carts when you are at a store? When I am in a grocery store, some people will not watch where they are going and ram you with there cart full of groceries, then act like nothing happened and you're not even standing there.I know this probably happened to alot of you at some point in your life, but it happens to me everytime I go on a stores property. People act like I am invisable and they cant see me standing there. It is quite annoying! When shopping,I make sure I watch for people.Once, when I was shopping for food, some lady rolled down the produce isle and ran straight over my foot!ouch!she didnt even say sorry...did this ever happen to you?

I can identify fully with what you are saying my friend! Here in the UK people tend to do their shopping at weekends (even though the big four supermarkets here are open during the week and late at night) and it's really annoying when me and hubby are confronted with people who just don't have any manners! They have conversations with their friends in the middle of aisles whilst their children run riot around the store, it's a nightmare! Hubby can't stand it when he's about to pick something off a shelf then, suddenly...WHOOSH! Someone beats him to it and their arm comes right in front of his face. He does have some health issues and this can make him feel dizzy, this closeness and he has to move away quickly from this annoying person! Have you seen people who inspect everything...you know, sell-by date, the ripeness of the produce, that kind of thing? Grrrrr!!!

janey sometimes people have reason to inspect the labels closely, as a diabetic I have to know how many carbs and how many sugars are in any product, so yes I read the labels, and inspect the sell by date, and I do not buy green fruit, sorry if this is annoying to you because I imagined most people do that, or should so they know what the hell they are eating?

I understand what you are saying but surely not all of them are diabetics and watching what they eat? Some people really are selfish and invade another's space on purpose. Why do others leave their trolleys in the middle of the aisle full of food whilst they move away to look at the produce on offer elsewhere? That's just plain rude.

I live in a fairly small town and even when there is not much traffic in the store, I get slammed with others carts. Uuuuuuugh! They should make them earn a licence!

Hi Java09! This happens to me a lot. It can be very annoying. What makes it more irritating is when people don't even apologize for accidentally crashing into you or your cart. Worst, there are those who would even look at you as if it were your fault that they get to ram into you. I hope people become more sensitive of others.

Hello Java, Im so sorry for what you have to deal with. Maybe dress in bright clothes would help them see you? It doesnt happen to me. I go to the store rather late in the evening to make sure there wont be many people around. I hate shopping to begin with so I want to be able to move around easily and find what I want fast. Im not rude, I wouldnt crash into anyone. I only had someone very close to me once while I was waiting in line and I could feel someone touching my hair. I have very long hair and the woman behind me was touching my hair. I just turned around to look at her, she had very short hair. She had chemotherapy and lost all her hair. She was touching my hair because of the loss of hers. It broke my heart and I told her where to go to find wigs at a good price.

Oh yes this happens to me and I tend to get a bit cranky because they dont apologize for crashing into me. People can be rude at times, but I just try to forget about it and just move on. Still it doesn't happen to me everytime I go to a store. I'm sorry that you have to deal with that everytime you go to a store.

I've never had that done and I've never did or seen it before. I don't know why people would do something like that. I guess their in a rush or some people are just plain rude. I'd agree that it would be annoying. I would get so pissed if someone did that to me.

I feel that pain as you do. I get it everytime I go anywhere. People walking straight into me. Their kids running into me and smacking me and carts running into me. There's been a few instiances that it even got physical. I was walking out of the store and some lady just threw her cart instead of putting it where the carts go. Needless to say she did it right when I was walking by and bam I fell right over the cart. I was pretty PO'd at her and said something. There has been many times just standing there looking at a product and im always either on one side or another. Just like driving you stay to one side not all over the lane right. Wrong this lady was all over the place and ran right into the back of my knees and my ankles. My knees buckled and I ended up breaking my nose on the fall down and bruising my chin really really bad. Even this morning I went to the store to grab a few things. Guy behind me is right behind me knocking the my back. I turned and he looked the other way. He did it 2 more times and I turned around and said *back off* he looked at me and frowned and said that I was a rude little girl. I turned around and said well it's rude when you are standing right up on me smashing your cart into me when I not only have a back injury *which simple little things throw it out and the pain is terrible* but I have a knee injury. The places I always end up getting hit. I told him he have no idea what is wrong with the person in front of you wheather they are injuried. Needless to say with these few circumstances no one ever said sorry for anything. I truly hate going shopping to be honest. But it has to be done right.

Hi, Java09. No, this has never happened to me before. I wished that this lady could have said excuse me or sorry to you for running over your foot with the buggy.. How rude of her!! I have been known to track the buggy on my husband's back feet when I am walking in the store. Only because, I was not paying any attention, and I was in a daze. Sometimes, I am just am rolling the buggy too fast too. But, my husband will get mad at me. And, I will tell him that I am sorry for running his feet over with the buggy. I feel so bad about it. See, that is the difference with me and other people, I care and they don't. If someone runs over your feet or toes, they should apologize especially if they know that they did this. When I am in the store, people will always watch where they are going. They will say excuse me and I am sorry. I have never ran my buggy onto someone else's feet. Just my husband or my own child...

It's one of my major bug bears especially as I walk with a stick due to a permanent back problem. People just don't seem to look where they are going when they push a trolley, or sometimes a pram. I wouldn't mind if they apologised especially when they realised what they's done but so many of them don't care and blame you for being in their way when they weren't even looking and are at fault.

Oh grr! i hate people for that, yes they do it and they do it always. They just dont borther who is beside them or before all they do is so lost in the items and forget humans and just throw off their carts and crying kids and what not. They just get on nerves many times i go to stores on weekdays at day time when most of them are at work so it becomes really easy for me to be the king there :p

I have had this happen to me many of times myself. But nope they pretend that you are not there and keep on going not even considering that they may have hurt you. Its like a hit and run shopping cart. Once there was this lady I was standing in the meat aisle trying to figure out what type of meat I was planning on purchasing and then this lady comes up on the side of me and shoves me to the side like I wasn't even there , without even saying excuse me. She came up right on the side of me and shoved me out of the way with no explanation on anything. I'm like what the heck, is she serious. My husband had to stop me from reacting cause I seriously was going to say something and there would've been some type of fight. She knew I was there and she just shoved me to side. I think that some people just intentionally do it, without no regards to hey everyone is there to shop as well, and you can't be rude about it. Although, I am the type of person that tries to make sure that I don't run into people with my shopping cart or accidently shove people to the side without saying excuse me. If I do happen to run into people, I didn't mean it and I will normally say sorry or excuse me. I just think that there are some rude people seriously in these grocery stores. Its just food I mean really.

Sometimes things like this really happened and its making me upset because some people are not careful and apologetic to what they do. When I use shopping cart I see to it that I dont shove anyone and I always apolgize if I shoved someone unintentionally.

I personally have had someone full-blown run into me with a cart in a store before. On purpose... I threw the cart on it's side and began swearing at them and told them to watch where they were going. I guess they decided I was an easy target and I looked too nice to respond in such a manner. But they got what they deserved...

hi java oh my yes. I was in line in Vons once and this woman kept bumping the back of my left leg with her cart, which was maddening specially due to the fact I wear a heavy brace on that leg. every time she bumped me with her cart it drove the brace into my flesh, which was not exactly comfortable to say the least.I would turn and say something, she would say oh sorry then do it again. What is with people? I always watch my own cart so it will not bump into anyone. I once had a lady grab my cartfull of thanksgiving food and declare it was her own but my purse and id were in it, the clerk grabbed my wallet looked at my picture and told the lady," Gertie you are at it again. Get out before I call the p olice." She fled out the door so guess she pulled that before. I was just glad the clerk believed me enough to check my id and picture. wow.
