How to get donation or grant?

Does anybody know how to get donation or some grant?
I live in Europe in Latvia. I am 26 years old and have daughter 3 years old. I'm single mother, but officially have husband, but don't know where he is and he is not helping us. I have debt for rent and need help. Where is the best place where to ask it? To whom I need address my help plea?

What you could do is making a little card on which you write some Personal Data and why you are asking for donations. In small letters write: 5% goes to charity. This way it is legal for you to use 95% of the money. Now with the earthquake in Haiti you can tell people you're collecting for them.
Better still: Use the internet for some money. Sign up at sharecash or something. ;-)

I am not sure what kinda of money offers your country has but you could always cyberbeg online for money as well. There are also many ways to earn online too but you need to reaserch and learn what you like and dont like. For me add me and I can share some ideas with you. Take care and happy mylotting to you.

Government offers grants for free in many countries. I have seen many websites offering such resources. There are some tips listed on http://statefunding.blogspot.com/
