My last year in university

Hi, mylooters! I have pretty bad news and want to share my story with you. It's my last year in university now and I'm gonna quit just before the last semester. It's all about money. I don't have enough to pay for my last semester. And I'm gonna leave just before the end . . . I'm so sad about this! I even cried because I had different ideas about my life... Now everything's changes. I'll start working in a restaurant or something. And I'll not be able to pay my tax with the money I'll earn from there. My parents can't help me anymore and if I want to graduate someday I'll need to earn these money. And I'm not sure that I'll be able to do it. My only hope now is that after years I'll have the chance to graduate. There's an old Romanian saying "People drown themselves at the end of the Danube". And this really corresponds with my situation now.

I'm very sorry to hear this! Don't give up your dreams, though. Get the best job you can and save what is possible for your future tuition. My mother graduated with her degree when she was 50. She never got to go to college when she was young and started when she was 44. She worked full time and went to classes nights and weekends--there was no internet back then so she had to take the classes in person. If my mother could do it, so can you! You have just one semester to go and if you take one class at a time you should be able to do it before you're 25. It will take a little longer but I hope you won't give up.

You can always opt for distant learning as is usually practiced here in my country. With another year to go it is unfortunate that you have to quit because of financial problem. Working while taking evening or weekend classes should have no problem with you I think or else you can apply for your government financial aid.

That's so sad.Can you get a student loan or something? That's ashame to have to quit. You should search for any kind of resources that may help you out.If you don't find any I don't know what5 to tell you. It's hard for people who can't afford to do anything.I have financial problems myself.I'm gonna go back to school, because I found a program where I live that will pay for it.I have to take a test to see what I'd be good at doing. They will only pay for something that they feel you'd be good at.I hope something changes for you so you don't have to quit.

Oh my gosh . . . you are so near completion of your studies . . . is there ANY way you can get a loan . . . even if it's from family or friends with the promise that you will pay them back? You have only ONE semester left . . . there must be some way you can pay for the tuition?! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!! Good luck!!

Hi, Elly! You're from Sofia too and you know what the situation is. I'm in NBU - New Bulgarian University. You also know that the taxes in this university are very high . . . That's why it's hard to pay them. I also have to pay for my apartment rent and expenses. Pf, it's difficult! But I'm not giving up. I'll find my way somehow!

Isn't there some help out there? Have you talked to anyone about it? A grant or something? I think there alot of students to have to leave school until they can get the money together to finish. I guess what I am saying is that you are not alone. There is help out there in alot of areas and you may have to save some money if you really want it bad enough.

I am so sorry to hear that you are in this predicament. I too was in this same predicament nine years ago and I have yet to finish my classes to get my degree. Of course at this point in time I have two small children and I am waiting for my youngest to start school before I complete my degree and pursue a career. I'm currently looking into online classes to see if I will be able to finish my degree that way. I wonder if something like this may be an option for you?

Man this is so sad. In countries like Inidia, i think you get free education, In United Kingdom you get free education as well, so i would think what if you move to UK ? It's bad luck, you're country makes you pay for education, and in my opinion it should be free for everyone.

Anyone may be confronted with some difficulties in their lives. Only the patterns of difficulties varies. I also have " my problems", so I find empathy with u. In a world of "continuous learning", working in a restaurant or something may turn up to be a treasure, and you can apply the experience in your further study if possible( especially you're studying businesss). Since I have no idea about your profile, what I can do is giving out just a suggestion: "optimism may direct encounters to a more hopeful way". Terrific ideas are born with a good mental state. I hope that you can come up with a marvellous plan about the next step. And your final semester will go smoothly.^_^

Hi.please don't give up, and think positively that you'd be able to finish your course. As the bible says in Proverbs 3:6, "In everything you do, put God first and He will direct you and crown your efforts with success." Please trust and have faith in Him. What your in now is just a trial in life that you should receive positively because this is not for you to be depressed , but for you to become stronger that you'd be able face the future realities in this world with a smile. And addition to this, this is to mold you to become the person He wants you to be. A strong person with a good heart. I hope that you are motivated and determined to finish your schooling with hard work. Never lose hope!!!You may not know, this event in your life is a blessing in disguise.Have faith!!!

That is really ery sad news. Is there no way that you can get a grant or a loan, just to finish this last year. I mean, really you are almost there. There must be someone, who can help you on this. Or as you have said, why not work at day and learn at night, maybe you can pay it that way. After all, it is only this year. Good Luck. I hope things will work out for you.
