I lost it, my vacuum

I cannot find my handheld vacuum anywhere. We live in a fairly small house, and over the holidays I stored this and many other things away so that we could have more space for visitors. Now I have looked everywhere, (except where it is) for this vacuum, it's pretty small but has a long cord and tube so it's not easy to store. I know I didn't take it outside the house, but I think the house has somehow eaten it, or maybe the bugs I suck up that taken over and consumed it. Does anyone have any ideas where it might be. Don't be shy, any idea might help.

I had the same problem and your vac sounds a lot like my blue hand held one! I finally found it in a closet I rarely use then I couldn't find the extension. That was in a bathroom drawer! I have no idea why I put it there but I'm glad I thought to look.
I do hope you find yours! I use mine to vac the stairs, the dogs are awful about shedding as they go up and down.

Those dogs. . . they deliberately say, "I will leave a clump of hair here, and another there. Let's see, a fuzzy stair would be hard for the owner, but sure would look good to me." They helped hide your vacuum, it was not your fault.

Gerty, thanks for the laugh!! It's true, I sometimes think they conspire against me. On the rare occasions I have company--even if I've vacuumed a couple days before--it seems the hair multiplies!! Now that it's winter, they are shedding less. Actually, Cookie is the shed-monster, as my son calls her. Gus doesn't shed much at all but I can see his hairs in the bathroom sink for some reason. I once actually entertained the thought that someone might be living in my attic because of those very short, black hairs!

dear pat,
lots of times when i could not find things myself. and they seem to be lost during times when you need them most. yes! very irritating indeed.
i just leave the thought of it and let it come out by itself. or someone might discover where it is.

Have you found your vacuum? I am just going through email that had backed up and seen this discussion. I see it being in a foyer, near a door, in a hallway. Does this help? Perhaps under the stairs leading to the next floor in your house?
Those hand held vacs are sure handy. My Mom has one and is terrific for quick small jobs as well as for vacuuming the car. Gets in all those hard to reach spots with ease. Hope you have located the vacuum by now.

I usually find things like that stashed with some other stuff on top of it. I’ve done that so many times; moved something only to return later with no recollection where the heck I put it! I do that frequently when I decide to rearrange a closet or the pantry. After hours of work it will looks neat and spotless, except for the fact I can’t find anything! Good luck with the vacuum!

Hello savy,
Have you tried looking at the attic?(hope you had one)
Maybe, you had it hidden with other things inside a box.
How about, your car's compartment...maybe you had used it when u clean your car.
Ok...it's not there.
Try your shoe rack.

Many things end up between sthe sofa cushions. My neice found a huge wad of sticky tack there. I would look in plain sight. Or I would look in the company of other small appliances. The electric current causes them to all stick together.

WEll, I have a small wet-dry vac that I keep in a cupboard in the garage. I use it for cleaning the car, and sucking up water when I scrub the indoor carpet with water, vinegar, and soap. Mine also has a long cord and several attachments that go on the end of the hose. I love that little sucker, and wouldn't wanna have to get along without it, not even for a season.

and I'll bet you put it away somewhere that you'd for sure remember where it is. How often that's happened to us. Our house eats things all the time. This morning my husband couldn't find his cell phone. I had called him when he was away from our office, and when he popped back in I asked if he got my message. He then realized he didn't have his phone and looked all over and out in the car to no avail. He finally found it in his back pants pocket and figures he didn't hear it ringing over the van's engine because he was sitting on it.

How about in back of one of the closets all the way in the corner or under a bed.

How do you don't see it? Turn right! You see the great wardrobe? Open the right door. The vacuum is left on the dresser. LoL.
