Oprah is leaving us! Are you a fan? What are your thoughts on her leaving television? I think she will get into films more. I am curious to see what she produces.

The Oprah show is ending September 2011 so she still has some time to go which I know will go pretty fast. I will miss her after watching her for 25 years. She is like part of the family to me. It will be very strange not to put the TV on at 4pm anymore.

But you will still have Ellen. I was watching Ellen at 3p. and then Oprah at 4p. Now they moved Ellen back to 4p. so I have to chose or DVO it. I guess I could turn off the poor thing and let it rest. lol

Yes I still have Ellen. If I was living in New York I would have to choose so I'm happy that I get both. I can't understand how they can't have them both available at different times thru out the states.

I think she did a lot of good, but it is time for her to do something else. It's too bad she didn't go before that debocle with the sweat lodge that someone she had said was great lent his name to. Same problem with some of the books and some of the people she recommended. I think her people needed to check them out better. But there were so many ways that she helped people. I often was working when she was on tv or just arriving home and had to make supper, so I didn't get to see her very often.

I don't really care what she does, I think she is one of those people who recognizes who she is but is hesitant to do anything that would dim her star.

Do you really? I think she is one of those people who couldn't. It is just the type of person she is.

I have learned so much from Oprah during the last twenty five years that I feel such a sense of loss and feel like I'm losing a friend. I do think however that she will have a huge presence on OWN (The Oprah Winfrey Network) so I don't think that we will have to wait very long.

I feel the same loss but I think that she will be doing movies and other things. I don't think we will have to wait long either.

I will too. I think Rachel is a real character. I enjoy her show. It is on in the morning here and I usually miss it because I am not a morning/day person.

I am curious to see what she will do next too. I'm not a huge fan..but I do enjoy her show sometimes. I think it will be odd that she isn't on anymore.
