Cars and getting around in GC

Have you noticed that often two people appear to arrive together as if in one car and leave separately in two cars or meet up somewhere and one gives the other a ride as if forgetting the other one must have a car there? Either GC is very small or people take taxi's all the time or something. What do you think?

Seeing as every place they go is real close I do not even know why they need a car anyway. Once in a while someone will say they have their own car and do not need a ride.

I wonder stuff like that often too. I imagen things in real life.. how often do you stop by your hospital to see someone that works there? How often do you hit the "yachet club" in your town all during day hours? How far do you live from "town" to just jump up and go there and "be there" in a few minutes? I know.. silly to compare, but sometimes they just get boring so I have to find something to keep me awake! But yeah, ALl soap towns are 1 mile cube square areas!!!

GC consists of two soundstages at CBS Television city, so all the people there really WALK.

I have wondered about that and the fact that there seems to only be one restaurant in town and that is the Athletic club..we hardly ever see the coffee shop anymore. The athletic club is supposed to be high brow for people like the newmans but it seems no one ever needs a reservation to get a table. Maybe they all drive hybrids and meet up at the athletic club to recharge their batteries.

That and they seem to have a housing shortage.
