Hockey fans I need your help. when was the last time the President's Trophy was given to an Eastern team?My caps are on top for now and I'm in shock! I know it is bad for your team to win the President's because you won't likely hoist the Cup but I can't help be proud of these guys.So it got me thinking what Eastern team was the last to win the President's Trophy? Thanks for your help.

Was it Boston in 89/90 season? I would have to look it up to be sure. The wings have 6 of them, I don't think winning it has jinxed them too often..they just make sure when they win it they don't touch it in anyway.

The red wings are on the list of president's trophy winners 6 times since '85-'86!

Thanks. I feel a little better. I would love to see the caps hoist the cup. They won their 13th in a row tonight! Yikes! This is scary!

I understand what you are feeling..I remember a couple of years ago the wings were at 15 wins in a row and I would get butterflies for them, like I was actually part of the game.
