Wheres the fairness in that, let smokers sit in smokers section and non smokers in non smokers section.

The problem with having non-smoking sections is that smoke from the smoking section travels to the non-smoking sections. So basically, it makes the whole place a smoking section!! I have yet to find a restaurant with adequate ventilation to avoid this problem.

Disagree, as long as there is a smoking and a non smoking are in the establishment everything should be good.

In Scotland, the ban on smoking in public places has been great. A night out in the pub, no longer means your clothes stinking of stale smoke. The downside, you can now smell the body odour of the less desireables !

I am a smoker and I agree that banning smoking in public places is a good thing. To me it is respectful to people that don't smoke. Everybody has rights.

Fine, but do we have to freeze outside, just because we have a right and choice to smoke? Give us our designated area inside.

I don't see why they can't have smoking areas... but just make sure that they're partitioned and ventilated in a way that makes everyone happy and won't cause people to complain/not go to the restaurant/bar.

I think if a person wants to kill themself with smoking, it is their business. I feel that every public place should have a smoking section. Do we tell drinkers that they cant drink in a bar, or in a eating establishment? I guess you can tell by my post that I am a smoker. Never heard of someone killing a human being driving a car and smoking. Have you?

Agree with you both, but most importantly, drinking and driving kills more than, smoking and driving.
