Would you wait in line for an hour and half or longer for a free meal?

Today Dennys was doing the free breakfast just like they did last year. Last year people reported waiting in line for as long as 4 hours for their free breakfast, but on average people had to wait between 1 1/2 t?o 2 hours for their free breakfast. To me it is not really worth it to wait that long, but is it worth it to you. Would yo wait over an hour and closer to 2 hours for a free meal? Did you go to Dennys today?

No I did not go to Denny's today. I would only wait that long for a free meal if I could not afford to eat. Other than that it is not worth it for me I would rather pay for a meal and do something more productive with the time that I save.

There isn't a Denny's in my immediate area. I couldn't fathom waiting that long for anything. My patience for waiting isn't that great. An hour for breakfast? I would either go somewhere else and pay or cook at home if I have to have a free breakfast.

To be honest if I was homeless and hungry yes I would but since I am not homeless and I have food no I would not instead I would try to get the Homeless to go and get them something to eat.

Sometimes free food are for the buying customers. They promote their food to consumers to get regular customers.

i am not in the US but here in Canada, a chinese restaurant chain had a free meal on Canada day last year and we were thinking of going but the lineup was very very long and we really didnt want to wait that long. my hubby waited at a job fair last week (outside in the cold) for two hours. that was bad enough!!

No, i will rather stay without it, then. By the time you eventually get your breakfast it would be cold and you won,t be hungry anymore. TATA.

Well they are making them fresh for each person, but I think I would be starving by the time I got it.

I didn't go to Denny's for the free breakfast, but I had a coworker who went over on her lunch break to check it out. She said the line was ridiculous. There's no way that I would wait in line for more than half an hour for a free meal. The only time I'm willing to wait in a line for longer than that is if I'm in line to go on a theme park ride.

I wouldn't. First, I don't eat at Dennys, second many people lost their jobs and they deserved to get free meal first. Probably those people didn't mind to be in line. I am happy for hungry to be feed.

If the breakfast was free and I definitely had the time then yes I would definitely wait. There aren't many things in this world that are free so I would look upon this situation as a kind of bonus and blessings sent from above!. I don't know anything about Denny's but we have McDonalds over here and they don't give away free meals, I wish they would. Still, it's nice to receive something for free once in a while! Andrew

For me not at all because if I'm very hungry and not to eat immediately then I got sick for that because of that no way.

I don't think it's worth to wait so long time, just for a free meal!We can do something meaningful during the time that we saved. As we all know, time is the most important!haha~

It really depends on how good the breakfast is. If it's very delicious, it's worthwhile to wait for it, especially if you can chat with your friends in the meanwhile. I usually wait quite long in restaurants for delicious food even though I paid for it.

I think I could probably wait in line for a little over an hour for a free meal, but not from Dennys. Heck, I can cook breakfast from the comfort of home rather than wait 2 or more hours for it. Now if this was from a Five Star Restaurant that would be worth the experience, sure I'd wait, but for Dennys no thanks. But it was nice of them to offer, and I'm sure it helped their business (look, we're talking about it).

Hello lady, As many before me have stated no this is not something I would wait in line for, unless I needed a meal. I think that this is great for peole that can't afford to go out to eat to have this opportunity. I think for me that there are very few things that I would wait in line for hours for unless it was an absolute necessity. I hope those that went at least had an enjoyable experience.

I had not heard about a free meal promotion from Denny's. I suppose if I left early so I wasn't hungry & didn't need to use the rest room why not? But I don't much care for Denny's anymore we had it often about 10yrs or so ago but the last time I was in there I got an upset tummy & so did hubby.... I think it was too greasy and we just are not used to it.

I would not wait that long for a meal. I think I'd surely be very hungry by the time I did get to sit down and who knows how long it would take for the food to be brought to us, let alone prepared. I would only go to a thing like this if they had it more... constructive.

I really am contemplating for the right answer because if the situation arises and I don't have any money to buy me a decent foods then I might as well join the long line to have a free breakfast. But If the money is available then I will just buy foods because I am already starving. But if that food is one of a kind and it's something I can't afford to buy then I might as well wait in line to get my free breakfast. A free meal is always a big welcome for me and I don't mind waiting for a bit of hours as long that it's free.

I love getting something for free. However, I don't have a lot of patience. That said, there is no way that I am going to wait for more than an hour for a free meal. Now, I did go to IHOP on international pancake day and we had to wait about 30 minutes for a seat on that night. However, that wasn't an entirely free meal. Als, I don't think that I will go back next year because the service was so bad that evening.

At this moment - no, I wouldn't. I hope I'll never have the need to go somewhere for a free meal. If that's the case, I'll wait.

I feel the same way.. If I really needed a free meal, of course I will wait if that's the only way I would get something to eat. But I hope I will never be in that situation!
