Do any of the possible Idols stand out for you yet?

I am fairly surprised - I have three that stand out for me. 1. Casey James - despite his audition where Kara had him shuck his shirt, he does have a good voice and he can play the guitar. I am very glad that they gave him another chance and I hope he continues to do well. 2. Janell Wheeler - wow, beautiful voice. I don't recall her audition, but I missed one or two of those episodes. 3. Tim Urban - great voice, but really young. He still seems to be very nervous compared to the others, but I cant blame him. I would be too. If he doesnt go all the way, I hope that he will see just how far he came and come back. But, maybe they will keep him. They kept Allison!

Hi HansonFan, Early on I have my favorites already: Crystal Bowersox, the single mom who sang Natural Woman last night, I guess she'll go a long way. The black guy who's wife was on labor last night, Michael Lynche, I think he's really good. Casey James, I remember him now that you mentioned the shirt - he'll turn out to be a great singer. I felt sad when Erica Rose, the Barney girl, whipster, was out. I watched her on Barney together with my kids, and I was looking forward to seeing her to the end on AI. Well, it was short-lived.

Same for me. I think the big guy whose wife was on labor sounds pretty good.. I heard him singing on the auditions round. Awesome voice.

Yeah, I do think that Casey James stood out among the American Idol season 9 top 24 not just because of his looks but his good voice as well. It's funny though how Kara DioGuardi adores him...i can't wait for them to have their second performance again. For me the one that totally took me by surprise is the performance of Didi Benami...she's so natural and she feels into her song and I love that in her. Especially her performance where she sang the song that Kara wrote...it's perfect for her voice. I also love Siobhan Magnus...the girl with a nose ring and short hair. I love her voice and how he personifies the song during her performance. She exudes how she is truly an artist in her own way. In this season of American Idol there are a lot of power girls...as Simon Cowell might say it. THere are a lot of talented women here and it is hard to choose from them. Now let's see the competition here and it will definitely be tough for teh succeeding episodes. Nice topic you started here HansonFan...hope you enjoy watching American Idol as much as I do...happy mylotting.

I really have paid close attention to this year's contestants. I believe that there are several really interesting voices in the competition and I must say that I was surprised with some that were sent home. My personal choices are Michael Lynche, Aaron Kelley, Chrystal Bowersox, and Casy James. Aaron reminds me of David Archeletta and Casey reminds me of Bucky Covington. I was shocked that Mary Powers didn't make it to the top 24 as well as Angela Martin.

I'm not able to follow closely every episode, and I've yet to learn their names. The one where he lives with his foster family, and the ones where they support him all the way - that's awesome. I think he's a great kid with an awesome voice. There's a blonde lady or brunette, where she can strum the guitar, that one's cool too. And the big guy whose wife was on labor, and a couple others. Oh yeah, the one being born prematurely when she was a baby, her voice rocks too.

Aaron Kelly! I've been keeping track on him since the day he auditioned up to now that he's chosen as one of the Top 24 finalists. He has really caught my attention ever since. He has a strong yet sweet personality, as well as a cool voice. He strongly reminds me of David Archuleta. Hope he'll go a long way on "Idol".
