I'm just testing a photo discussion

Naomi likes hijacking my camera and taking photos of the cats. This is Oreo wearing her hat that the step-mom knitted for her. I'm really just testing to see if I can do a photo discussion. Do you take goofy photos of your pets? Or have your camera hijacked by children who do that?

I have taking pictures of my pets before but it has been a while since I have captured them in pics. I tend to pull out the camera more often taking pics of my grand babies. I always have my camera with me, because I don't want to miss anything. Just as soon as I wouldn't have it with me, I would miss a great shot. My cell phone takes pretty good pics too, but I tend to forget about using it.

I use the cell phone once in a while too, but I also forget. Or really, I don't forget, I just don't think of it as a camera, I think of it as a phone.

With all respect for my friends, photo discussion is always the same...and will never be my favorite...however Oreo looks cute!!!
Hmm, I have 95,000 pictures in my collection...hard to discuss any...
I am afraid that people will come and say..oh, it is nice, good picture.
Maybe I want contractive criticism...
Is it OK with guidelines now? I mean to start discussion about picture?
BTW, are people honest when commenting picture?

That's the beauty of digital cameras - lots of fun without expense of film and processing. My boys liked taking photos of everything, but at least they had their own darkroom for processing, so that didn't cost (only the paper, the chemicals, the equipment . . . ) but it was a fun activity and they won awards for nature photography.
I'll have a better look at Oreo.

I print my own, but I also use a do-it-yourself kiosk where you order your prints from a little machine, and they are VERY cheap. You can also adjust the colour/brightness etc on them before you print them. One group of childrens photos were taken with a light from a yellow glass window, but we were able to remove the yellow tinge from their faces before printing. With a number of prints (I think 20+) you can get them for only 8c a copy.

I scanned in a bunch of old ones and printed them on my old printer. Haven't figured out how to do 4 x 6's on the new printer. But the ones I did on the old one cleaned up really nicely...

The downside is not having hard copies unless you go to the expense of printing them out. I'd like to get prints of my best ones, but as usually I've been lazy and they've built up.

exactly.
my calico in particular hates her picture taken and will either hiss or run away.
i made the mistake once of forgetting to turn the flash off,and that was all she wrote for her about it.

We will be testing everything out, I can tell. I do not have any children living at home. The cats are cute, anyway. None of them wear hats, however. They love to be with me and would like to have their turn on the computer, especially Tiger.

I have one named Tiger too. He's our tummy up cat. Oreo is the one who likes the computer, well actually the printer. She sits on it, he turns it on...

Awww-Oreo looks cute, but bet she wasn't too thrilled with that hat on. I used to have one kitty named Tippy that allowed me to place a small Witches hat on her when I did a Halloween set up to photograph--but she was the only one that ever allowed me to do that...if I did something like that now, especially with Pyewacket I think he'd give me the nastiest look going

hi dawnald love that photo and Oreo seems to be pretty photogenie
and a tad upset with that hat of Naomi's. poor cat. Wish I had'a camera
as I would love to take a few candid shots of some of the residents'here specially one loud mouthed little twerp named Glen. we have nicknamed him Gold Crests own Elmer Fudd, he resembles that little squirt of a guy.

Hey dawn! I'd like to say that I was lol, but the look on poor
Oreo's face told me not to dare! That hat just wasn't a good
look for him! He looks like he is wearing an "old lady hat"!
Sorry Naomi! But, it just isn't a hat for Oreo and he knows it!
Maybe a nice baseball cap would be a better look?

hello dawn,
that is so funny but some how i don't think Oreo likes the color, you should asked him before trying it in his head for posting
. i used to take photos of my pets but i stopped because something else happens. like theyget lost, killed or stolen, which is not good for me. i have tok picture of them but that was last year

Hi Dawn,
THe camera that we loved so much needs maintenance now. My son, Gian loves taking pictures --any subject will do but is not careful of taking care of it. it fell severeal times and now there's a need for the LCD to be check and repair.
oreo looks great with the knitted hat on. Good job naomi!
