Well all 4 of my grandkids are coming over with our daughter Saturday. We are going to a local indoor waterpark for a fun filled day. It's my wifes day off so she will be going as well. YIPPEEEE! Going to be a tad costly but well worth it. We've done this before with the 2 grandsons but not with the granddaughters till now. They also have their own fast food joint there for lunch, so we'll all be eating junk for lunch then I would venture to guess. When was the last time you were at a waterpark? Did you go with kids or grandkids? This one is in a hotel near my house so it's maybe a 10 minute drive is all.
As always.....

oh my gosh Grandpa Bob here I am 83 and I have to admit I have never been to a water park. it sounds like a lot of fun too, spe cially with all your grandkids, water and kids go together for sure. I used to love to swim and often used the local swimming place but I have never been to
a water park.for one thing the nearest one here is really far off. but we did have the whole pacific ocean. I used to go down to Newport Beach by myself to walk along the water and find sea shells and bits of polished glass, but since I have had to wear a brace with these heavy orthopedic shoes its put a damper on my walking on the sand. But then is it not Minnesota thats supposed to be the land of lakes, so water parks would have to be prevalent
.it does sound like something I would like for sure. wish I had some grand kids. have fun Grandpa Bob and happy mylotting to you too.

I've been to a few different ones.
They are a blast to say the least.
I love the inner tube rides the best.
Love to sit back, relax, and let the water take me away.
But with 4 grandkids I am sure I'll be watching at least one or two.
There's maybe 5 within a decent driving distance from me.
Lot's of lakes here for sure.
I've been to maybe 150 or so for swimming and or fishing.
As always.....

That sounds like they will have a great time!! I hope it works out. It is nice that it is close to home. We had thought about taking our sons, but we are kind of strapped with money, so we have never made it.

Where we were going to go, they had day passes but only according to if they had room. You don't know till you get their and their rooms were quite pricey. Have a great time.

I think that is how the one near us is run. You have to have a room to get to use the water park. I could be wrong, however. Might look into that for the next time the grandkids come see us.

It is costly.
But worth it I thinjk.
It costs $16.95 per person for a 6 hour period.
Or an all day pass from 10a.m to 9p.m. is $23.95.
Our daughter is paying their ways for the most part I think.

I have never been to an indoor water park. It has been about nine years since I went to an outdoor water park. We had to go, cause my (second) husband had never been to one. I am wanting to just go to the YMCA and swim and sauna. I love water entertainment in cold weather.

A Waterpark? Never, probably. There is a very good water parkl about one hour south of us, but it is very expensive. Bianca has been there a couple of times on school trips.
Remind me of how old your grandfchildren are.
Hope the weather is going to be good for this, or is it not outdoors?
The fast food for everyone will be expensive.

I wish I could do this with some of my family. That's wonderful that you can get this kind of time with them and have fun.
The last time that I remember ever going to a waterpark was when I was in middle school. For my 8th grade graduation, my class of 23 students went to a waterpark for the day. It was a lot of fun. We split into groups and took off for the different water rides. I love this one where you sit in a tube and just float down a river going through waterfalls and tunnels. That was so relaxing! I should try and go again this summer but with some of my family this time. I hope you have a great time and not too much sun, sunburns hurt (ouch!).

We planned to go to a waterpark actually this weekend, February 13, but we decided not to push through because i have to travel again by monday and we also need to prepare for the family day activity in my daughter's school on Valentine's Day. We seldom go to a waterpark since we have plenty of beach resorts here. Most of the time, we spend our time at my cousin's private mountain resort, which is also my daughter's favorite place. They don't like the beach much because they find the ocean too big and would just prefer the kiddie swimming pool. LOL!

I'm only about an hour from Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels (the first Schlitterbahn BTW.) I have never been there, and probably won't be going either... not my cuppa - course I don't have kids or grands either

About a year ago at a motel in Maple Grove....it had a small water park inside....I was too scared to go down the big slide though....I got sick when I started walking up the stairs! So my son and brother in law were the only ones to go down the slide....hope you have a very fun day!

I think I went to a water park once, before I had kids, when my sister lived in Fresno. It was for fourth of July and we were there for the fireworks.
A water park in Minnesota would pretty much have to be inside, methinks...

Wow! That sounds a lot of fun. I hope we could do that with my mom and dad. They have not seen my son yet ever since he was born. Well, my son is just 4 months old but then I'd be giving birth this coming August to my second child. Mom is sick and dad is busy with work. Hope we could do the same before this year ends after I gave birth to the second baby.

An indoor waterpark...I don't think I've ever seen one of those. I guess in a place like Minnesota it is handy, because you get snow more often than those in the south, southwest, right? I don't think I've ever been to a waterpark. I've been to amusement parks that had a couple of rides that could be termed water rides, but I've never been to a specific waterpark. We have one close by called White Water. But of course it is an outdoor park.

I have never been to a water park before. My son went with his school a few years ago and he had a really good time there. One of these days I will actually take them again. My kids want to go to a place called Monkey Joe's right now. It is a place with a bunch of those air filled things like bounce houses, but they have big slides and stuff too.
