Hi gang I was on the internet yesterday just messing around. I was looking up ET and there was this article leading people to believe that Steven Speilberg was going to finally make a sequel to this awesome movie. After reading it come to find out the story is false. I would love to see a sequel to this movie. I remember as a kid I saw this movie 6 times. I also did read the sequel which was ET And The Green Planet. Which was very funny basically it was about ET trying to come back to see Eliot. I wish they would make a sequel. Yes generations can still see ET and relive that magic but wouldn't it be great to see ET in a new adventure. Just got me thinking are there any movies you enjoyed and there never was a sequel. Or any series you would like to see come back. I hear they are making another Ghostbusters. Always interested in more Star Wars movies we still have 7,8 & 9 to reveal. I would also love to see another Gremlins movies. Alright guys your turn let's see what movies you can come up with.

Well sadly most the gossip you find on movie blogs about sequels ends up to be mainly rumours. Although there is a strong opinion that they will be making a Gremlins sequel which seems to be following the growing trend of now making sequels to a whole range of 80s movies including “Tron”, “Ghostbusters”, “The Lost Boys” and countless others.
I’ve already mentioned in another discussion that I would love a sequel to “The Breakfast Club” a sort of reunion movie, although that one is unlikely to be ever done. I would also a like sequel to “Indian Summer” with a further catch up with the crowd who returned for the first reunion, which makes no sense to those who have never seen the movie, lol.
Other movies which I would like sequels to and there are rumours circulating about these is a fourth instalment in the “Bourne” series of movies and also a proper “American Pie” 4th part rather than just another “American Pie Presents”. Thankfully both of these do look like they could possibly happen with both ideas being touted to both stars and producers.

Breakfast club for me was the only movie I really enjoyed from "the Brat Pack." Yes I keep hearing rumors about Gremlins. If they do make it they better keep Gizmo just as cute and don't make him some odd computer image. I would love for Gizmo to get go to Billy's kid.

They are doing Ghostbusters III in 2011. I'm excited. Germlins is a favorite, too.

Was there not already a Ghost Busters 3? I loved ghostbusters and either way I do hope they come out with one, it would be awesome! Gremlins was great too.

This is a difficult question because I am not usually a fan of sequels. They always seem to be lacking. Sometimes you can't put your finger on what it is that is lacking, but I seem to come out disappointed. Although it would be kind of cool to know what Ferris Bueller is doing now.

I understand what you are saying about sequel but some when done right are very good. Like The Back To The Future series. Ferris as a dad that would be something to see. Great one.

The Back to the Future series was great. I have to agree with you on that one, and Ghostbusters.

Yeah Ghostbusters will be interesting just with age and everything how it will play out. If this movie does come out I hope it will be well written and not just something they need to make money for.

I am actually surprised there was never an ET sequal, that would be interesting, but I can not imagine how it would go. I know there have been movies that left me wanting more, or wanting answers after they were finished, but I none of them are coming to my mind right now. I am going to have to think harder about this and get back to you because I for sure there are some. Maybe the movie the Holiday, so I could see how the couples stay together, who moves to be with their lover and things like that.

Steven said he would never make a sequel to it. The book came out not long after the movie. Can't help it I keep hoping he will change his mind like George Lucas did with Star Wars. Maybe ET could come and meet Elliot's kid. We did get a ET cameo in Star Wars Phantom Menace. Looking forward to you coming back later with some more great movies you come up with.

I would love to see a follow up to "This Is It". I just can't get enough of watching Michael dance and sing....
also a sequel to Twister. Did they come up with a device to predict tornados once Dorothy flew?

I am sure there are plenty of movies somewhere with Michael Jackson. Maybe some old concerts filmed so you never know. I didn't see it or Twister but you know Hollywood loves to make those kinds of movies so it is possible.

You gotta see ET one of the most best movies. The full title is E.T. The Extra Terrestial. I may have spelled the word wrong but rent it. You won't be disappointed. One of Steven Speilberg's earliest movies.

Beetlejuice.
Everytime I see that movie on TV I think it has so much potential for a sequel. I loved it as a kid and its still pretty funny after watching it repeatedly over the years. If I could pick a movie to have a killer director make into a sequel, this would be my pick.

I didn't see that one but I know it has a big fan base. I am sure it would do well and there are many people who would want to see it.
