I think you need to do a little research on wolves. Minnesota is not a breed of wolf. Those are most likely timberwolves, also known more properly as gray wolves. Also, coyotes are not wolves at all, though they are in the same family. And technically pet dogs are wolves. Their genes are so similar they can't be separated into a separate species. You've also left out some wolves, like the red wolf, the Mexican wolf, etc. If you love wolves, I suggest you research them. They are absolutely fascinating. I would love to work with them someday. They are my favorite animal in general. There is a lot of information out there about wolves, and a lot of activists who want to protect them. Maybe get involved; I know I am involved.

That's the mistake I've noticed from a lot of people particularly people who adopt wolfdogs and claim them as high content. Not many people research wolf specifics and behaviors of the animal. Most don't know that wolves are born dark in color (even Arctics and red wolves), most don't know they single track, (walk in a straight line), and most don't know they only have one season per year, always in winter and will have pups in the spring: March or April. And wolves do not have blue eyes. There was a lady at work who claimed to have seen a wolf with blue eyes. Um, no. They don't have blue eyes except in fiction. Also wolves have larger skulls than dogs. A gray wolf will have a larger skull than a red wolf or a coyote. As you've said, research helps.

I like all wolves. There are two distinct types of actual wolves that are known in the USA. The Gray wolf and the Red wolf. The Gray Wolf has many many subspecies wolves which include the following: Timber Wolves, Arctic Wolves, Tundra Wolves, Black-Phase Wolves, Mexican Wolves, and so on. http://www.wolfhowl.org/subspecies.php Also there is no such thing as a wolf species called Minnesota. If there are wolves in Minnesota they would likely be subspecies of gray wolves. And a coyote isn't a wolf. It is a different canine with different genetics than a wolf. Even a red wolf will have slightly different genetic coding than a gray wolf.

I love werewolves the most, because I feel like one, sometimes. I'm way too hairy.
