IM ReportCard Policy Change....certainly not for the better

This morning I received an email from IMRC concerning a important announcement. According to them, because of fraud, they are no longer allowing cash payouts. Instead the credits earned can be used to purchase things like e-books (oh, joy, like there aren't enough FREE ebooks available on the internet already) I'm pretty upset by this announcement because I was within 50 credits of cashing-out for the first time. I've been a member of the site for more than 6 months and now they change policy starting immediately. I'm not sure what type of valuable rewards they will offer for the credits earned, but unless it's pretty awesome "stuff", I would imagine that traffic at the IM Report Card site is about to drop off in a big way! Does any other members feel this was a good move? Will you continue to participate with IMRC?

It's really unfair for users. They stopped paying for referrals when they reach 20000 members. They have now a good database made by members working for money, not for ebooks ! Before changing so drastically the rules, they have to pay every cent earned by every member ! What in the real world if your boss send you a letter telling you that "beginning next month you will be exclusively paid with pogs" ? Will you continue to work for this boss ?

Exactly my thoughts topffer! They told us that we can "cash out" when we reach the required amount of credits...credits that we earned by participating on their site. Now those credits are no longer worth cash, but points towards valuable items? The whole idea behind IMRC was to create a site that was a watchdog for the internet marketing sites. What sites are for real and which could be/are scams. Now, I don't know what these valuable rewards are going to be (but whatever it is, it isn't going to buy milk or bread and I can't use it to pay for heat or electricity) but by removing cash as the option for cashing in the credits earned based on a loose description as fraud, sort of places the site in the scam category. Why punish those that didn't commit fraud, and allow those that may have been, to remain? Unless there is another reason to remove the cashout option...like the site can't cover the amount of members that are at cashout & are close to cashing out. Thanks for the response!

I am closing my account with them as I am not happy about the changes and I don't need their gifts. I won't participate there at all now as I need the sites that pay money.

That's the way I feel also. The one thing that really gets me ticked, is that we gave reviews, made comments, shared our experiences about online sites for what was supposed to be a cash payout. They have our efforts on their site, but now aren't going to live up to their end of the bargain. It really makes them out to be, what the site was supposed to alert others to...a scam site...a site that doesn't pay it's members. And they seem to think that some gift is going to be an acceptable alternative. I'm sure it works well for them, but quite frankly, I'd like them to remove every review, comment and rating that I made on the site. Sorry that you have also been cheated....thanks for responding!

Hi, creationsbyrobin. Wow this is some shocking news to hear about! I have not contributed to imreportcard in about two weeks as of today. I stopped posting at this site because my post was not suitable for them. I had to meet a certain criteria and I did not met it. So, they emailed me and told me that I could resubmit my post again. I guess... It was about me having experience with a product, which I did. The information that I gave was not feasible to imreportcard. So, I was disappointed because I felt like I wasted my time posting and then they end up turning around to dismiss it. With your information here about the changes, it did me some good. Since I no longer support this website, I have nothing to lose. Others will, and I am very sorry about that. Now, that the money schedule has changed, I am sure that many people will rethink about posting here. This is some bad news for many members.. But it is good news for me.

I had a response rejected recently also. It was clear from my response that I was a member of the site, as I mentioned several things that had not been mentioned in their comments, or the comments of other members. So I re-wrote my response detailing everything about the site... from the smallest tidbits to the largest...several paragraphs worth of info. Basically I forced them to accept my response because it was clear that I knew more about the site than their comments shared with the members. I wish I had an inkling that this could be happening...I'm less than 40 credits away from cashing out and have been for about 3 weeks. Since I was interested in just making comments about sites I knew little about, I was checking the site daily and commenting only when I had something to share with the members...unfortunately, my honesty with the site has come back to bite me where the sun doesn't shine. In my opinion, IMRC may have turned into one of the scam sites they hoped to point out to unknowing internet users Thanks for your response!
