Any Suggestions For A Bussiness Name For A Wedding Co-Ordinator?

Canada

I am about to start a course in becoming a bridal consultant (wedding co-ordinator). Hubby loves the idea, and it's something I've been thinking of doing for quite a while. We are brainstorming all kinds of ideas, among others, the name of the business. I want to be the kind of bridal consultant who thinks outside of the box. If someone is interested in a feminist wedding, an ethnic wedding, something unique, even gay marriage, which is legal in Canada, I want them to come to me. There are lots of places where people can find information on traditional weddings, I want to specialize in the untraditional. I want couples to know they have options, and I want the grooms to feel as comfortable in the process as the brides. My husband and I planned our own wedding from scratch. Of course I did all of the legwork since he was working in AZ most of the time, but we still planned everything together. I'm thinking of something interesting possibly incorporating my last name (Christensen), and something that's not too....um...girly? LOL I want to be the kind of consultant that both brides and grooms will come to, straight marriage, gay marriage, feminist, people who think outside of the box. So many people I know, especially women, get married, and don't consider the "options." "Oh, it's tradition, I guess I have to go with that." I want to offer choices from the traditional to the avant-garde. Any thoughts? PS. My grandfather sold drapes for a living, and called the company "Custom Made Drapes By Christensen." His logo was a beautiful CMD monogram with a Danish crown on top. I thought it was so nice. It was an elegent type of business, but one that a man felt more than comfortable running. The nice thing about Danes is they don't have a lot of macho issues, and gender stereotypes. So, any thoughts?

This is just a suggestion, and maybe it will sound cheesy. The name "Out-Of-The-Box Brides" came to mind upon reading. It's like addressing brides that like non-traditional stuff for their wedding. Just an off the bat idea. Sounds too simple, I know...

From what I just read, you would feel proud to incorporate your Grandfather's business logo into your business plan. To do that you will want to keep the same initials. Real quickly, top of my head, how about "Custom Made Dreams by Christensen"? I hope that is not too simple. It would use the same monogram. Or is it copyrighted? It sounds like fun, and I hope you are quite successful.

Is there a nickname for weddings in Danish? Why not use it? So it would be ( weddings in Danish) by Christensen.

you could keep the monogram in the family (if it isn't still being used of course) and call it: Custom Marriage Direction by Christensen...

Christensen Unimagined Bridal Consultant? Christensen Unique Bridal Consultant? Christensen Far Fetched Bridal Consultant? Oh I positively stink at this type of thing. I'm sure it's hard to think of something that incorporates your name with an image that says "come to us, we're unbiased!" How About Christensen Tradition or Not Bridal Consultant? Eh... I stink at this...

i think aside from using, or at least incorporating your grandfather's name in the business you wish to put up... your brand, shall i say must be unique and catchy. it should have retention in people's mind... something that would be easy to remember. with too much competition you would need to get ahead as well by having a name that would definitely stick to the client's minds.

To me, to start an untraditional business is indeed untraditional, and calls for an untraditional name. To me, it would be not normal to name a business as "Stop here", "Hitch stand", "Everything also can"... Hope I have not sound too frivolous.

Christensen's.....Weddings Beyond the Ordinary Christensen's....Wedding Planning That Is Not the Norm Christensen's....Plan Your Wedding With Some Creativity Christensen's...A Wedding and Much More Christensen's....Plan a Wedding That Will Be Remembered Those are some things that come to mind in just a few minutes without much thought to them..........just off the top of my head, and maybe something that you can work with. I think you have a great name to work with to put with the name. Good luck with it.

"Ring Me - (your first name) Christensen: Wedding Consultant". Whatever you decide on, be sure to register it; the process of applying for a business name entails a search to ensure that no similar name is in use. The name doesn't have to be exactly the same or even in the same business area. If your name could imply a connection, it is out! If you use your own name and a statement of your business, that is usually hard to challenge (even MacDonalds has a hard time preventing Joe McDonald selling burgers under his own name!

Very interesting idea. The name of the organization can be 'Honey-bee' or 'Butterfly'. These two insects fly from flower to flower and gather honey. These two insects also help to bring froutes. They carry pollen from flower to flower and that makes copulation. These two names are symbolic. You can consider.
