Would You Work At A Site....If Someone Could Take Your Earnings Away From You?

There has been some talk about a question and answer site called Kalutsan. So I thought I would stop by and check it out. I read the FAQs and it said they had a new game called "Theft System". It says that you can rob a member of 50% of their earnings, also you can be robbed up to 5 times per day. They write that there is a 40% success rate for trying to steal a members money. I was just wondering if the older members of the site are aware of this new "game"? I was going to join until I read this. I work to hard online to have my earnings taken by another member.

Hi, Workingmom. You know what... try to steal, please. And you will lose. I think no one can steal money from other members...you just will lose your earnings in this game, so your amount will go down. I think that only a 'bots' can steal. I think they did this to avoid payments. That is why I am not active anymore there...

Just another example of why it pays to read the fine print. At least this was put out in their FAQs rather then buried in 18 pages of Terms and Conditions. It's terrible but I almost always just accept Terms and Conditions because I don't want to sit and read it all. Guess I'll work on reading a little closer now. Thanks for the info!

Your welcome. TOS's are long and tiresome...most of them cover the standard terms. And you must accept those terms before joining. But, it is always a good idea to at least scan them. The FAQ section is the FIRST section I read when thinking about joining a site. You can find a lot of answers and you can find out what "isn't" mentioned. And in this case there was information that made me turn and run in the other direction.

It seems funny but absurd. Imagine working and letting your earnings be stolen. Now I'm thinking of joining and going to steal earnings of others. I'll just keep on stealing until I reach payout. Hahaha. I mean what if people would think like this, now what will happen to the site after? I'm so sorry for the members now especially for those who have been in that site for a long time. I hope that they will be able to protect their earnings. It's definitely an absurd idea promoting stealing to members. I couldn't understand it's logic.

Yeah and I don't wish to waste my time to this kind of site then. I'd rather make use of it here in MyLot.

I know that you are joking. But, there are people who would do this....sad for the hard working members.

There are many other rules pertaining to this 'game' that they have there. You cannot steal froma user who has earnt more than you. You cannot stealmore than 50% of their earnings You never have more than a 40% chance of being a winner anyway. There are other rules on the site which you may not be aware of. No polls - and that means NONE at all. They delete them all. It costs you 1 cent to post a question. You earn 1 cent when a question that you post receives an answer. You cannot ask more than 15 questions a day. It is not as bad as it seems and is in no way comparable to myLot as it is a different system for eatning entirely. Here you do not earn if you do not post. There you do, which is the 'up' side

I waited to be on the second page because I did not want my response to appear as though I am promoting it. I find it fills a gap when other places that I am happier with are not available. I like have lots of pots on the boil

I mentioned the first part of your post in my opening discussion. That was my major fault with the program. The payments and other rules are also found on the site. I am sure some people are and will be content to be members there. But, I personally will not be one of them.

Hi workingmom, I was about to post the same discussion coz I checked out the site a while ago, and I almost signed up, but when I learned about the "theft system", like you I had second thoughts on joining. I wouldn't want my hard-earned earnings be robbed by someone else, and I can see no point of joining if that's the case. Thanks for posting this discussion, I also want to be enlighten. To members of kalutasan, is there a way to prevent your earnings from being robbed?

Hi there, I'm a member of Kalutasan and I was also worried about the theft system when it was introduced. But from what I heard in discussions over there, most of those who tried to steal others' earnings had their earnings lost instead. I did write to the admin of Kalutasan about my worries of having my earnings stolen and they replied that they're working on a locker system where users can save their money from being stolen. I was like WTH. Isn't it better to just scrap the so-called "game" instead of creating another feature to counter the theft? What a load of BS! I too thought that it's a way for the admin to avoid paying their users. For all we know the thief might be the admin disguised as one of the users.

I wonder what members will have to do or give for these lockers?

You are welcome. I have been earning online for many years. And I try to guide people the best I can. This site just has to many 'red flags" for me. There is no way to prevent you money from being stolen from what I read. It did state however that thefts only had a 40% success rate. The idea of this game is wrong, nobody should be able to take a members earnings.

There should be But I do not know the reality. there may be ways to get the password of the accounts so... recently I read a myLot friend saying that some guy transferred the PayPal account so Your writing may invite others to go to the bottom . Yes if we stand for each other then we can counter bat.

I was wondering about that too; the theft system, that is. Sounds like Mafia Wars robbing feature to me, LOL. I have had enough of that in Mafia Wars, so I'm not going to join this anytime soon. I know a good friend of mine here has tried, and I think that's really cool, but for me, I will have to find some time first. And then to think about this theft thingy some-more.

I agree with you in not playing mafia wars as well. I actuall found a site that I can play on that pays me. I also don't post q/a things to sites unless they pay me like here on my lot.

I was actually interested to join, and like you I checked out their FAQ page, but when I read about the theft system, I was immediately turned off. Why would I want to join a site where people can just steal my earnings? I'm not inclined to do that to people, and I'd rather not be victimized, even if they say it's just a "game". I think it's a really bad move for that site. Thank goodness mylot doesn't have that kind of bull!

Exactly!! I thought I would let members know....I was wondering when they added this to their FAQs. This will definitely hurt their site.

From responses to this discussion...I have learned this was added after the site was created. What you wrote is another possible scenario. It will be interesting to see other discussions down the road. Because if people do get burned by this site, I am sure they will post in MyLot.

EWww, that sound kinda cut throat to me. I don't think I'd join it either. But hope you've managed to warn some here to do belong to that site. I 'm writing articles for a site called textbrokers and so far they've accepted each one I've written. Not much money but pays when I ask. Ok, got to get up and get ready to go. Talk to ya later, quita

No I am not gonna join that kind of site or game... I cannot stomach getting other's money which they earned through patience and hardwork. Vise versa, I hate to lost my money especially when it was taken to me without my permission or knowledge. I don't think that is fair. I hate scammers, so why would I act like scammer in anyways...

Yeah workingmom50. That is very unfair. And it is like they are trying to teach and train the members to steal and cheat! Absoultely NOT a fair and GOOD GAME. I would definitely, put my time on other paying sites that this one. Not worth my time...

WTF? That sounds totally crazy, but kinda interesting at the same time (maybe because I don't have the chance to lose anything in it). If that would come to myLot too, then I don't know hat I would do. Probably jump out of the window... I think that everyone should work for getting their income. Not just stealing it from someone. That is pretty much telling the users that: "You can rob people on the street if you want to.". That is so frustrating to know that some people may have lost all their hard work just like that. I would never work on a site like that, unless I would REALLY need the money (which I don't). It would be interesting to just get someone else's money just like that though.

I am not calling this site a scam site. They may very well be paying their members. What I have a problem with is their "game"...where one member has a chance to take another members earnings.

Workingmom50, If someone could take our earnings away from us means, how could we continue to work in the same site, naturally we lose our interest to work, if our hard earning money will be losing it by some mischief's one cannot bare it, so it is better leave that site and try other one which is legit.

What you did is absolutely correct. After putting in a lot of hard work to earn online if we find out that a majority of our money is stolen then what's the use of joining such sites?Does the site promote stealing?Maybe it is trying to make better thieves. The internet is already packed with scam sites which takes a great deal of research to be avoided and now there are sites that promote stealing. However, just as the going says that every cloud has a silver lining so does this one.At least it spells out the fact that there can be a steal.Thank you for bringing this very important issue to our knowledge which will enable us to be more careful while dealing with new or unknown websites.
