Is anything ever going to change for the better? Where do these people keep the money making machine. After all it is only paper, right? Make more.

I once was told that "If you're waiting for a change you ain't got sense enough to come in out of the rain." The money machine is the U.S. Mint and the Federal Reserve they did make more money but they put it in the wrong hands the Bankers and the Wall Street thieves instead of putting it in the hands of Main Street. Nothing will never change until "We the people demand that our government do what they were elected to do for the country as a whole."

All I can say is "ABSOLUTLY." Well put. But it seems that even if we demand anything ultimatly most of our opinions don't count. How can we speak and be heard without causing catastrophy?

When everyone decides that poverty is no longer an option for any human being living on this planet regardless whether we like them or not and realize this world was made for everybody.

Keep hope alive. Through our ingenuity we have built a huge trap and we cannot see a way out of the gravity taht is forcing us ever closer to it. But keep hope alive - - we may just beat this and avoid what is going on in Greece today.

That's almost exactly what happened in Germany between the wars. In the end there was so much paper money around that it devalued the Mark and people were taking their cash in wheelbarrows to the shops to buy a loaf of bread. Paper money isn't money, it's a promissory note. Even now there is no gold standard or anything like it, it is still just a promise by the bank that the dollar bill you hold in your hand will be accepted for a dollar's worth of goods or can be exchanged for a dollar in your bank account. With electronic banking and foreign exchange and all the other things, economics has got way too complicated for the average person to understand. I can't begin to understand why a certain amount of inflation is regarded as a 'good' thing and why too much or too little is 'bad'!

I think the world has gotten so big that many man made things that were made to make life easier has made it oh so complicated and overwhelming.
