I love good smelling stuff! I have a potpourri burner and I occasionally like to burn potpourri in my home. I prefer the liquid potpourri to other kinds. I just think it lasts longer. I like just about any scent but I especially like the ones that go with the seasons. For example, I like to burn cinnamon, hazelnut, pine, and mulberry around Christmastime. For Spring and summer, I like to burn floral scents such as honeysuckle, hyacinth, and hawaiian bloom. I also like to burn ocean breeze in the summer. These are just some scents I can think of that are available at Walmart, lol. Do you like to burn potpourri in your home? What is your favorite form of potpourri? I have some potpourri leaves in my den but I never take the time to run any water in them to keep them smelling. What is your favorite potpourri fragrance?

That's the way it is with the potpourri I have in the den. I have the chips in a bowl in there and although it's pretty, I never think to keep putting water in it to keep it smelling. I always like the liquid potpourri better because it keeps smelling until you unplug the burner. I always say to each his own, though. Thank you for responding. Kathy.

I don't use potpouri oils or the flowers or chips. I use whole or ground cloves and smell is heavenly! I also sprinkle sparingly on my carpets and let it set. When I vaccum the smell of cloves drifts wonderfully thru the air. It's as cheap if not cheaper than potpouri and I last longer. Try it.

They have some bottles of the liquid potpourri for $2.00 at Walmart. That's where I usually get it. I do a lot of my shopping at Walmart because it's probably about 5 minutes from where I live. I didn't mean to get off the subject but the cloves do sound good. I just might try them sometime. Thank you for responding. Kathy.

I love grapefruit/vanilla, but I tend to do the candle warmer. I do the liquid fragrance oils in water in the little crockpot looking things. I like spiced apple fragrance and all kinds of citrusy scents. Some of the synthetic scents give me headaches, so I like some of the natural oils better.

That's what I have, the crockpot burner. I just always called it a potpourri burner. The grapefruit/vanilla sounds so good. I bet it does smell good. Thank you for responding and have a great day. Kathy.

Hey cyrus! I love burning all kinds of different scents too! But, I mainly burn incents or candles! I would say I mostly stick to candles! Right now I am burning a Winter Pear candle that my girlfriend/neighbor gave me and it smells heavenly! It is snowing really badly outside and it makes the house smell so nice and sweet! My favorite scents are cinnamon, jasmine and lavendar! I am almost always burning candles, especially at night while I am sitting in my kitchen/office mylotting! I also love potpurri, but only use the dry ones for the look and the smell! I like to put it around the house in different rooms for the colors and the scents! I think it looks really pretty! I have never tried the burning potpourii since I have always been so into candles! And my favorite candles are Yankee Candles! They are expensive, but they are incredible! My girlfriend from across the street taught me how to shave the candles and burn them that way by making them liquid! That is the most heavenly scents ever! Yankee Candles has the biggest variety of candles I have ever seen! I go crazy in their store!

I like to burn candles occasionally, too. Since I'm in and out a lot during the day, though, I have to make sure I blow it out before I go anywhere. That's why I like the potpourri crockpot better, although I do unplug it before I go anywhere. I don't like to take chances. I have gone off and forgotten about it, though! I have seen the Yankee Candles but I never have bought any. I have a bowl full of chips in my den and I do think they are pretty. I would like to try that winter pear candle. It sounds very nice! I also like the other scents you mentioned, cinnamon, lavendar, and jasmine. Kathy.

I love the Ocean Breeze and the Mulberry. I don't have a burner but I would love to get one. I have the chips and stuff in a basket in my bathroom. I have the plug ins and candles. I might go get a burner to see how it works for me. They have oil too don't they? Can you use oil and potpourri in the same burner?

Yes, they do have the oil. I don't know if you can use oil and potpourri in the same burner or not. You might can try it. It might be a good idea to ask a salesperson before you try it, though. I have the chips in a bowl in the den but like I said, I never think to add any water to it to keep it smelling. It makes a pretty decoration, though, doesn't it? Thank you for responding. Kathy.

I haven't used potpourri myself. My mom used to have some in our house when I was a kid. We've become more of a candle family now! I LOVE candles and my husband does too. We always have candles burning in our house. I often have one going in our living room and our bathroom all of the time. I've also bought some reed diffusers to use but haven't tried them out yet. As for scents - we love peppermint and baking scents in the winter and fruity scents in the summer time! We typically burn more candles in the winter than the summer though. I actually think this year I may burn candles all winter long and then try out the reed diffuser for summer time, that way it always smells great in my house but I don't have to worry about burning a candle when it's hot outside!

I would love to come to your house sometime, lol! I bet it smells delicious all the time! I like candles, too, and I like to burn them sometimes. However, I prefer the potpourri better. I guess it's because I live alone and I'm in and out all the time. I have to make sure the candle is blown out before I go anywhere. I don't have to worry about this so much with a potpourri burner, although I try to remember to unplug it before I leave the house. Thank you for responding. Kathy.

I like the scented oils with reed sticks that you don't have to burn, but right now my home is scented with the flowers on my gardenia plants. My favorite scented oils include lavendar, pine, and pumpkin spice.

I tried one scented oil with reed sticks one time but I didn't have any luck with it. I never could smell it, anyway. I never have tried the pumpkin spice. I'm sure it's good, though, especially in the fall. I like the lavendar and pine scents, too. Thank you for responding. Kathy.

I like to burn candles occasionally. Since I'm in and out a lot during the day, though, I have to make sure I blow them out before I go anywhere. That's why I like the crockpots better. The scent lasts until you unplug the crockpot and I can go off and leave it without worrying about it that much. I do make sure I unplug it before I go off, though. I just don't like to take chances. Thank you for responding, Jo. Kathy.

I like all sorts of different smells. I recently bought some soy candles a lady makes and my favorite is the Gardenia. I have a pot for the oils as well. I use cloves a lot because it takes away all household odors. I am partial to berry scents and all the smells of Christmas.
