You ever write a dicussion here on mylot and you think wow this one is a good one! And your really excited about the responses that you will get. Your excited because you really want to here what the people have to say. See I am here on mylot not for making money I work 54 hrs a week. So I just really love it here and I have alot of fun. But, I wrote a dicussion that I though I would get a good number of responses on. I got a couple and they were pretty good. But, I so wanted to here so many more. You ever think you have a good discussion that turns in to a flop?

Yup! I know exactly what you mean. It's happened to me a couple of times and it is a bit dissheartening. One thing I've noticed though a great deal of it depends on what category you post in. For example there are multiple categories for mylot. But some have more members than others, and thus more activity than the other mylot category too.
Make sure you are taking the time to respond to active users discussions also, because they usually in turn will check your discussions to. You can tell who is pretty much active here, as opposed to those that just start discussions and don't respond to any you know?

I try hard to responed! But, I only responed to those dicussion that I am interested in. I cant responed to a dicussion just because. It has to catch my eye. Maybe thats what I am doing wrong my title is not interesting enough I am alright at the writing part. It's the hole title thing I get stummed on! Thanks olydove!

Not a problem. Sometimes the title is a bit of a pain. I try to think of what titles tend to catch my eye and make one that way, but it is hard that is true.
I agree only respond to discussions you are genuinely interest in, otherwise you'll get bored and your contribution to the discussion might not be as good as you would want it to be. Don't worry though really I've had discussions that have had 2 responses and others that have had 20 +. It varies. There are a few members that have actually gotten like 100+ responses to there discussions

I think that the most I have ever gotten was a little over 20! A 100+ WOW! That is insane lol. Maybe I should write a book "Titles for dummies" maybe I could get rich lol lol! Have you read the discussion that I am discussing in this discussion. LOL sorry I could not help myself! Well maybe you could read over it and my be some pointers. You dont have to responed to just read it. Thank you!

All to often yes, and I've only been here a week! lolol. I guess that happens to everyone. Don't you hate it that you spent the time and put the effort to try to word it perfectly, and those seem to be the discussions that receive very few if any responses.

i can understand perfectly what you mean... i had felt like that before as well... i thought i had written a good discussion and hoped to get many responses... but it didn't turn out that way and i was quite dissappointed at that time... but not anymore as now i just try to have fun and relax here... take care and have a nice day...

O I have so much fun here really! I just love corsponding with so many different types of people and such. Hereing there ideals and thoughts. Its jut wonderful how so many different people can come together and have very little problem with each other.

Yes, but unfortunately it didn't..:( but i try and learn how to get it. even sometimes it's full with trial and error, but that is the process of learning i think. I will never know something if i do not try it before. I hope you will get some luck so your discuss got 100+ responses.

It seems to be very hard to predict if your discussions will be a success or a flop. I had a period where i posted discussions but not alot of responses, then i was inactive for almost 1½ months, made one discussion and bam; 23 lovely responses... Now what is the difference?

Yeah just to here the imagenation of someone you dont know. To here where they would want to be and here it being described to the point your almost there in your head.

Well I am not sure what the difference in the disucssions were lol. The discussion I am talking about is "Do you have the imagenation??? Come on I know you can do it!!!!" All I was wanting to know is if you could choose any where to live where and how would it look. A little short parapraph. I includded mine. I just really want to here how far the inmagenation could go. And here of all the places people would choose. The only reason I wanted more response was just to read them. I am not here for the money I am here because I turly love mylot.

O dont be scared! Reguardless of how many respones I am going to keep on writing because I am just full of all kinds of questions and pointless facts. Man I dont know how many flops I have put out there. The only reason this was a disapoinment is because I really wanted to read what other peoples ideal of their place to live the imagenation of how they would describe it. But, dont stop writing its good for you mentally really! Let that imagenation go and you never know you might get your masterpiece. I know I am going to keep on writing. I mean it took Michaelangelo 4 years to get his masterpiece the Sistine Chapel. Which I am not aiming for that kind of masterpiece just a mylot master piece but, you get the ideal! lol Have a good one.

Er...my connection was lost so now I have to retype my response...
But, I know what you mean. It does happen and I usually don't let it get me down. A lot of my discussions are really specific to a certain interest (like anime) so I never expect a lot of responses from them. I'm just happy to see that there are other people with the same interest on here. But I do get really happy when one of my discussions get more responses then I anticipated. I just go with the flow of things. After all, some responses are better than no responses at all. At least that way I know that someone out there finds whatever it is I'm talking about interesting.

Yeah it is pretty cool! That was pretty much what I was aiming for with the dicussion that I am disappointed in. Maybe its that fact that I think that everyone enjoys their imagenation as much as I enjoy my own if that makes any sense.

see, you have many good respons for this topic :) it's an interesting topic. But as for me, i'd lie if i said i never expected lots of responses, because i know my topic could be boring too for others lol. It's relieving if they replied me, but if not then i'm ok with it too lol..
it's not that i'm so pessimistic, but this is how it goes in here sometimes, unless the topic is really good.
i prefer to response than to create new topic hehehehehe..

I really like to do both. It really depends on what mood I am in really. Yes, I know that we can be boring at times. It was just really a hope. I am really surprised at to how man I got from this dicussion. Shocked to be honest. I made a dicussion on not getting responses and got a lot of responses lol! But, hey that's ok. I just like to talk or type in this case. O and by the way alot of people just call me Tams and its nice to meet you as well.

That is my problem,too! I have had a lot of discussions that were good and got few responses! I sometimes really get frustratd with that! It is one of the many things that has happen to me at Mylot! I'm sure one reson some od my discussions don't go far because it doesn't go in a good interest catagory. Sometimes I don't know where to put a discussion! I am mostly on Mylot to make money and to kept myself busy. I do have fun but not alot on Mylot.

yea, it would be good to check some nice posts here, and sometimes it does catch my attention and motivates me to look into the matter,i love to see how people feel and their response into the matter of the discussion,and i have seen some peoples response or discussions unanswered maybe not good enough for even to discuss,i think a good discussion must attract lots of people to discuss and also give a chance to share their feeling towards it.

Yes, it happens all the time, and the worst thing is when you see a discussion very similar like the one you posted, posted by other person getting soooo many responses, that is what I think is really annoying. At the same time is very disappointing because you are expecting to get a lot of responses and then you don't get anything. Too bad.

It's not that I never got a response just no as many as I would have hoped. And when I say that I dont mean it for the money as have stated before I am not here for money. I am here because I love mylot. But, I just wish I could have read the imagenation of the response. The few response I did get were great. I love to read where others imagenation takes me.

Don't worry dear I am sure this discussion will cross your expectations and I do know how you feel. Sometimes you really put in so much effort to post a good discussion but then you do not get any response or just maybe one or two.
I was on mylot maybe around 1 year back but I do not seem to remember the id and password so have created a new one and I am actually addicted to mylot as some discussions are quiet touchy and I really feel like replying like yours.
I pray your discussion is in the top 5

Awwwwww! Well thank you very much. I love mylot also it's just a really fun place I think. I did put alot of thought into my " imagenation" post and I really wanted to here what everyones place was that they could just live or go to. I hope that I get more responses to it I really do. As I have stated before I am not here for the money I just like to here peoples ideals and what others have to say the money I make is just a bonus. Thank you again dear and I hope you keep on enjoying mylot!
