I have never taken an actual yoga class. But, I do yoga at home all the time. I have a bunch of yoga dvd's. I think yoga is very good for you. I love the way it stretches my body. It feels so good, especially when my muscles are sore or tight. I don't usually like taking classes in front of people. I feel self-conscious!

That is understandable. The classes that I took didn't really allow for anyone to be looking at any one else though, a lot of the moves you could not really see those around you very well, and if you could you are more worried about holding a pose and breathing then worried about what any one else is doing.

I've never taken a class and doubt that I would but I use to do yoga regularly..in fact i STARTED doing yoga back when I was around 8 yrs old...I've always been a fan but the past few yrs have just been too hectic and busy for starters and my health hasnt been the greatest so I slacked off..This spring I want to start up again though

Maybe you could just do a few moves in the morning or before bed. I love do downward dog in to plank and back again, it works pretty much every muscle in the body. If I don't have time to do anything else I at least do that every day.

Hey lady, Yes i know a lot of yoga exersixes and thanks to my gym teacher for that. I tell u what in my early teen years my life was going in a very wrong direction and i was upset and annoyed with myself. I was getting distant from my loved ones and that was the time when i started doing yoga and meditation. Iam a changed person now. A calm gentleman u can say . I give all the credit to meditation and the yoga which i do. It has changed my life and it makes me a better person Also i would love to share that yoga cures almost every disease a human can possess. The very basic i learned in yoga is in performing yoga exersixes you got to control your breath and take it properly. A human life is directly proportional to the number of breaths we take in our life. And once we start breathing properly it cures a lot of things automatically. Good luck with yoga and feel the change within yourself! Cheers, Tutul

I enjoy doing it. I don't have a chance to go to classes any more but there is a yoga show on the fit network every morning and many days I follow along with the TV. It is not as good as being with a class and having an instructor there, but I find it keeps me centered and flexible. Being in my 40's I want to stay as flexible as I possibly can, and I also like that it forces me to take time out to just breath.

I learned Ashtanga Vinayasa for more than 3 years almost 5 days week and I enjoyed it thoroughly. It was a wonderful experience being under a Guru and learning not just yoga, but also many other aspects regarding the mental and spiritual levels, and also how the teaching is imparted in a selfless manner... Master was a good example of it. Also, the Guru disciple relationship was a good lesson for me to learn... :)

I have not taken a yoga class. My daughter does some yoga sometimes and I've thought about joining her. However, I am taking a taekwondo class. I love it!

I took Taewkondo for a while and I took Akido with my son for a while. I really liked it. Unfortunately we had a guest instructor once who did not warm us up good enough and I pulled my abdominal muscles. I kept trying to go to class but there were too many things I couldn't do with out a lot of pain, so I had to stop. I was really upset because I was begining to get in to really good shape and of course I had to pretty much stop working out because the pain was just too intense until the muscles healed. I was 41 when I took that class, I am 44 now and I love to workout, but I have really make sure I am really warmed up and stretched out now as it is pretty easy to get injured now.

I did a little of that when I was pregnant, but I was using a DVD at the time. It can make you feel really good.

Hi ladym33. No, I have never take a yoga class before. It sure would be nice if I could attend one to relieve all of this tension from my muscles. I am glad that you enjoyed taking a yoga class though.
