Maybe I should make a dream world interest. lol It's Friday night. You're living in your dream world. You don't have children to worry about. You don't have money to worry about. You don't have your health to worry about. You don't have anything to worry about except having fun. You can go out on a date. You can go out with friends. You can go out by yourself. You can go out with family. Heck you can stay home and veg. It's your dream world. Describe your perfect night out (or in) in your dream world. If it's spending time at my place, I have brownies. lol

hi dawnald Friday night out, fun time, okay Im a senior citizen so for me it would be whatever movie thats playing that gotten the best reviews and Id ask my son and his friend to take me, then before the movie we would stop and get the best darned pizza known to man or woman kind, and really splurge since we have all this money. Then I get to watch the movie and my adult son and his best friend as they literally absorb the movie and give their impressions of it like they did in their teens, the sounds and all. to me this is almost as much fun as the movie itself.oh Dawn we might drop in your place for brownies and I would let you meet my son and his buddy. lol what a fu n time. have to be back here by midnight at least.

Five-star hotel room with king size bed with clean and neatly pressed sheets. I would just lie down, set the temperature to a comfortable 'cool' and watch TV in a big flat screen. No kids, no money or health worries to think about. Of course, after a while room service will come in with my pan cakes and country-style fried chicken. And don't forget the diet coke. If somebody knocks to give me a massage, that's welcome too.

This discussion is only two hours old, but it is already Saturday lunch time here, so my Friday night has been and gone without anything happening. To play along, my Friday night in dream world would take a bit of planning by a number of people. Now I have internet friends in many places, but I guess most would be in USA, UK, South Africa, Belgium, Sweden and of course Australia. If "you don't have money to worry about" means that I have unlimited funds for my special dream, I will be looking for a large, comfortable house, fully equipped with cook and servants, to book for all of us to enjoy for the night (why not the week-end, since time will be taken in travel?). Now, to minimise the travel distance, maybe Maui would be the most central location? I am not a beach lover, but the attraction is getting together with friends, and that might be the most central for all of us. Can you imagine the fun and the chatter? Who will join me at our party, courtesy of Dawn's imagination?

While she is off snorkeling we can eat all of her brownies. I can see a whole room full of different varieties. Lots of smiles and chatter all around us. Best dream of all cloudwatcher.

I could manage a plate of brownies... But my choice would be the local Italian eatery (within staggering distance...). I don't want to start speculating on menu choice or I am going to dribble on my keyboard. It would be just me and my good lady, good Italian food and a bottle of Chianti (hence the staggering home). In the proper fantasy, there would be a wide screen behind my wife's head where they will be showing England beating Germany at Football (OK then, soccer...). In the really wild version, she actually turns round and actually starts enjoying the match!! I'm going to stop there before it all goes too crazy

I can so relate to that, though I do manage to get some reading time myself. The kids are older and more independent. So here, have a plate of brownies, take your book and go hide!!! (coffee too)

Coolio.. I'm definitely cool on the brownies, LOL.. You should make a dream world interest, that will be awesome, Dawny.. Alright, let's start. For me, say I don't have anything to worry about and it's my dream world, I would say my perfect night would be first of all eating some brownies, that you have virtually sent to me, and then I would also get some friends over, watch some awesome shows. After that, going for a short road trip.. make it night-time. But there have to be more than 5 people.. I wouldn't want some hitchhiking* moments while driving, yikes! And then during the morning, all of us will go breakfast and discuss our 'adventure' finds the previous night. Then we'll all go home. Alright, I hope this is not like a composition, ha!!

I think a night at your place would be great fun & i love brownies. I don't really think about doing anything fun any more, no reason to. Use to love being out & about when i was younger now all my friends are about in my boat & stay home all the time to. I'd like to have company like i use to but it's pretty quiet on the home front.

I would be going out with my sister (it's a dream world, so that is entirely possible, right?) and a bunch of my friends. We would either being going to shoot pool and do some dancing or we would be going to sing karaoke and do some dancing. In either case, dancing would definitely be involved. In fact, in either case some sort of karaoke would probably be involved, too, since we just can't stay silent while some of our favorite songs are playing. Therefore, I guess we would be going out to shoot pool, dance, and do karaoke. Wanna come along? You can bring the brownies.

I'd rather have them all on the same page than try to remember what page somebody's comment was on... Get a few drinks into me and I'm much more likely to get up and sing than to dance. 'course I'll bring brownies...

You do not have to dance if you promise to bring brownies. Do you sing karaoke? If you do, then you can do the singing and leave the dancing to the rest of us. By the way, am I the only one that does not like the new layout? I have not been on here much today nor have I been searching discussions, so I don't know if there have been any started on the subject. However, it really is a pain to scroll all the way down so far just to reply, and this is not even one of those discussions with a ton of back and forth interaction in each box, although it does have some. I wonder how many people like it versus how many think it is very confusing and a pain.

How much time would I get? Hee hee. And how many nights of this would I get - I like to plan ahead, you know! I can think of a zillion things I would do on a Friday night if I had zero to worry about, are you kidding me???!!!! One of my first choices would be to go out on a date night with hubby. It's been a long time since we've done a "couple" thing (we're just "parents" for now - hee hee). I'd rather spend quality time with him than any of my friends any day . . . because hanging out with my friends means they would be dumping their problems on me and who needs that on a Friday night! My second choice would be going skating (like duh - the obvious answer from me). I have skated with my little one, but as I have to supervise her, I hadn't had the chance to get down and dirty on the ice . . . so a night of hitting the ice on my own would be too cool. And hey, I'd invite you to come along too - as long as you bring some brownies - hee hee!

it's a dreamworld alright, and you can do anything or nothing in that dreamworld. for me, dawnald, a dream time would be like many of those you mentioned -- no worried about etc. etc. -- and having the time all by myself to complete the no worries thing. i will try to catch up with sleep, get my favorite book to lull me into drowsy heights, wake up and eat a veggie salad or whatever is there, go back to reading and get another round of sleep, this time trying to catch a good dream... but i haven't made up my mind yet on what to dream about... perhaps, the third time around...

I might spend the whole weekend with my hubby. In a nearby town, just an hour away. Daylight hours we would go to the zoo and to the botanical gardens. Night time, we would go to the dinner theater(prime rib). Some great musical would be on stage.Luxury hotel with jacuzzi. . . Next day, more sight seeing, good lunch either Chinese or steak. I just love spending time with him when we have no worries.

You can have a Friday night, in or out, any day of the week. Just because Friday is usually seen as the end of the working week for most (which really is not true), it does not make it any different to any other night. If you want to have a fun evening just go for it, worry about tomorrow when it comes. Have an enjoyable time.

I'm assuming that, in this fantasy world I can actually walk in shoes with heels.... So I'm dressed up and off clubbing with one or two close friends... or even by myself. I shall be drinking in moderation (ie enough to feel happy - not enough to be sprawled in the gutter throwing up or getting involved in any dubious liaison!). I will dance to music I like (because they wont be playing any that i dont like) until about 4am and then stroll down to the beach (because, in this fantasy, it isnt an hour and a half's drive away) and watch the sun rise as the waves are lapping at my toes (obviously the shoes are off). I'll then go home to my little cottage by the sea for croissants and orange juice on the balcony. NO NO DON'T WAKE ME UP!!!

Wouldn't I love for this to be able to happen for me. It hasn't happened like this for me in many, many years. I would like to be able to go out to dinner with just my husband and have conversation that doesn't mention our children at all. Then I would want to come home and watch a movie with my hubby. Then I would send him to bed and I would take a long, hot bath with a good book before I would retire myself.
