In India ,now a days many people are working in night shift.I don't know how many of them really happy with that.Because it is very too hard to work in the night time without sleeping.Sleeping is the main part of our life.So sleeping in the day and working in night is very difficult. The only reason for this situation is now a days many works outsourced to india from other countries .So we have to work according to their timings .So do you think it is a good sign ,many suffer due to this problem sometimes me also ,because I too work at night time for some days .But I feel it is very difficult to do that .

hi! yes, I will and now I am looking for a night shift job, because I am a student, and the right time for me to work will be at night, because during the day I must be at the university, because I really don't want and also sometimes can't be away from the lectures!

It may be suitable for students like you or some other person who is looking for parttime job.But many people suffer due to this night shift.Even you may feel uncomfortable when you come to work in night incase of fulltime job.

i too work on night shifts and i agree with you that working in night shift is very hard. most people will just ignore that fact and they do not realize the hassle of this kind of work. but if i were given the chance to change my work schedule, i would rather work on a normal day shift. i think i would be more productive on a normal schedule and given that if i already have a family of my own, i can tend to them and give them more quality time.

I worked in night shift for two years at the starting of my career. I got extra allowance for working night shift comapred to the people in the same company who worked in day shift. I was fine with night shift because I was single at that time. I felt that the day time was good to use for shopping and other work. I used to read a lot of books at that time.

hi there, night shift is fine to me. i worked in Data Outsourcing company too, and i was in a night shift, i like it coz we have a night differential in our salary, oh just a little but atleast it adds to my salary. aside from that, i am more energetic at night than in the morning, maybe because am already used to it. oh well, in Philippines too there are lots of Data Outsourcing company from other countries, more in Europe and America, and you know we are quiet advance almost 12 hours from this countries, and we followed their time than ours here... that is why, in Philippines most works too are in night shift. like this discussion, happy lotting",)

No, I won't. And let me tell you why.First of all working in night shifts will unbalance your body and you will get old two times quicker than the most. When you are young this won't be too noticeable, but growing old will show this signs. Sleep is the most important recovering act of the human body.

I think working at night shift is very bad for our health. By doing this we are breaking the laws of nature and we are working just opposite to it. Doing this, I think one remain tired and pale throughout the day and by this i think one is playing with his life.

If I have a choice, I do not want to work night shift. Once a while it shouldn't be an issue, but it's definitely not suitable for long term. According to some study, our health will be jeopardized in long run if we do not sleep at night. Although it's not good for health, I still like the night shift environment. It's more peaceful and less hectic. During day time job, there is too much interruption from other parties.

I don't want to work in night shift because I want to have my own time to spend with my family. If I do the night shift, that means to say I can't see my family when I am home. And it is terrible. Besides, I don't want my biology clock to be in a mess if I do the night shift. I love China

When I was younger and before I was married with children I often worked the night shift. I was a night manager at both a movie theater and a restaurant so I had to work nights. Now that I am married and have children to take care of I don't think that I would work the night shift now. It would be too hard on my family, but I am lucky because I have a choice, my husband is the main bread winner of the family. What ever I earn now at my various odd jobs is mostly just extra money, but if working the night shift was my only option for keeping a roof over my children's head then I would do it. I would not like it but I would do it.

I remember the days when I used to work the nightshift or graveyard shift! I wasn't very happy with it as I would constantly feel tired and agitated! I guess working nightshift can have detrimental effects for your body. I tried sleeping during the day but found this increasingly difficult as I used to live in a houseshare and the other tenants would make noise and it would be impossible to get to sleep. Still, those days are over and I don't think I will ever work the nightshift again. I think that it's far healthier to work during the day and get a proper night's sleep at night. I'm just glad it's all over! Andrew

It is probably a tough job to work at night as I have worked in day time in a company and I found the course really grueling and feel sleepy after I head home. Imagine what it would be when at night, we are at work at our sleeping time. And when we come at day at home for rest, it is almost impossible to sleep with so much noise around us, that we may sometimes end up getting sick. So, I may restrain from working in a night shift as much as I can!!

sure, theres nothing wrong in working night shift, at first it will be hard but once your used to it then its just like an ordinary day work to you. i've been working in call center before and since we follow american time then our work is always at night. on my first job, its very hard coz i always feel sleepy but later on i kind of enjoying it specially if i got to work coz theres no traffic besides i can sleep the whole day when i got home so no problem and the salary is more big than ordinary job.

A lot of people hate working at nights and there are alot as well who love the night life at work. It really depends on the crowd I believe. Like I used to work at night but when I got to the earliest shift which is at 5 in the morning, my whole perspective of working changed. I am now in search of a daytime and so I can sleep normal like other people.

A night shift would be more suitable for me and would fit in better with my studies and such Also, I have always thought that night shifts are easier because there are less people to deal with than during the day (if you were a watchman or something, because obviously there are some jobs where this rule does not apply).

I used to work during the night as well. For us is classified as either second or third shift. Second runs from 4pm - midnight while grave is midnight to 8. Times may vary based on where you are or the company. Grave was the hardest because you were awake while fighting against you body's need to sleep. It was hard to sleep during the day as well, but a set of blackout curtains usually helped make the room dark, but noise is one thing that you cannot get away from. While I got through it, I wouldn't go back to working either of those shifts unless I absolutely had to.

I have tried working in night shift also. At first i had difficulty adjusting but then later on i coped up. I don't have trouble with sleeping during the day coz i can sleep anytime. My problem before was on how to stay awake on the first time i did night shift. LOL If you have trouble sleeping during the day try drinking milk. Goodluck with your job!
