Would you go without to provide for your pets?

How much do you love your pets? Would you be willing to go without just to make sure they had proper health care, food and shelter? I certainly would! I will take any one of my animals to the vet before I would take myself to the doctor! Maybe that sounds crazy, but they rely on us to keep them safe and healthy. (I don't mean to say that I would skip a doctor visit for something serious, but I definitely would think twice about going for something minor!) My pets are the most important thing to me, and not only will I go without, but I don't mind doing it!

It would depend on "what" I would have to go without..If you mean would I go without food, shelter, paying the bills etc then the answer is a very solid and quick NO...I love my pets (I have six of them) BUT I love my kids, family and self more so I would NOT take out of our mouths in order to feed and care for my pets..If i couldnt afford pets, I wouldnt have them.

I so agree, that if a person can not afford to provide for their pets then they shouldn't have them. Since I do not have children, it is just me and my dog. I would go without food if I had to in order for her to get the nutrition she needs. I would not go without paying the bills though. We would find a way if it ever came down to be so strapped I couldn't get my dog some food and well, she eats way better than me as it is. I do not understand how people who live on the street can justify that lifestyle when they have a dog, that deserves a place to call home. I can understand why they would want a dog but what about the dog?

There is only so much I would go without before I had to make the difficult decision to place my pets with someone else for care. I wouldn't have a problem with cutting out extras to ensure that my pets were well cared for. I wouldn't have a problem with cutting back on things either but I wouldn't give up my home for them. I wouldn't want them to suffer because I couldn't afford them.

I wouldn't think twice about going without in order to provide for my dog, naturally. She is my everything and so is my number one priority, over everything and everyone else. There is no way in this lifetime will my dog ever go without food, water, exercise, toys, play time,or health care, no matter what. It just isn't an option. Thank the good lord for Visa. Lol I have just gotten over being super ill and was the first time since I have had my dog. I still managed to get up and out every four hours to walk her and let her do her thing. There is nothing that would stop me from getting out with her either.

I feel the same way about my pets. I have 10 pets (six rabbits, two guinea pigs, a cat and a dog) and that are really important to me. I always make sure that they have the food that they need and I take them to the vet when it is neccesary. I love them very much, their health is really important to me, and I would never skip a visit to the vet in order to save money. I never cut back on the money I spend on my pets, I prefer to spend less money on myself instead for instanse by eating cheap food or keeping my old clothes instead of buying new clothes etc. If I were in a situation where I had to choose between buying food for my pets or food for me, I would choose to buy food for my pets.

I always put my dog Bandit first. About six years ago my Mom passed away and I was living with her. It put me in a real financial bind and I had to move. I had so many people say you need to get rid of your dog it will be easier to find a place. I refused and yes it took longer but there was no way I would ever get rid of my dog. Many times I spent my last few dollars getting her food so she wouldn't go hungry. There is nothing I wouldn't do for Bandit. I like you am very happy to do it all and I have no regrets.

I would go without if my dog needed it. Right now my dog is at my mothers house. I can't wait until I move and can have my puppy back she is the best black lab ever. I know if I could my baby jesse would be living with us in the house not outside at my mothers house.
