I don't like facebook that much...i'll tell you why

No harm intended to facebook addicts but I honestly feel that i don't like facebook that much. Yes it is given that it is a wonderful way to communicate with friends but I have many worst moments ever with them. Although I have been with facebook since 2008 I find it very disturbing because of their limited privacy settings. I don't like facebook that much because if my friend takes a picture with me and i don't look good, they will tag me and i have that silly photo of me on my facebook account. Even if I can remove that tagged photo, I can't seem to do it cause it might offend my friend. And other than that I just find their privacy settings really scary...and most of my friends just kept on shouting how they feel everyday in their wallpaper and some of them is just not soo interesting anymore...i'm sorry to facebook addicts...i just felt like expressing my silly thoughts about facebook...feel free to express your feelings yourself...i just did.

I have had some crazy pictures of me pop up in Facebook. Especially after I have reconnected with so many family members I hadn't seen in years. Honestly it never bothered me too much but I guess nothing THAT embarrassing has come up. My issue with Facebook's privacy settings is that when you post things on people's page, all of your friends can see it. So you have to be careful with what you post publicly. Besides that never really had an issue with the site. In fact I have to say I rather enjoy Facebook. I am sorry your experience hasn't been the same..

yes, facebook is good when you want to be reconnected to family members and friends who lives very far away from you. I also enjoyed that feature of facebook but the wallposts and tagging of photos are pretty irritating for me. Because of the many possibilities offerred by facebook i'm afraid that the privacy of the person suffers. However people like facebook more because of the fames and not with its personal account.

And I worry about privacy just getting on the internet!!! The issue with Facebook is you put so much of your personal life out there for your friends and others can see it too. you just have to be careful anywhere. Be wary of what you post on your profile instead of in private messages. And know that it is all regulated by federal standards so you should always know that the things you post are being seen by other eyes as well....

Well,that is your opinion but to me I find it interesting because I find my friends way back in the past. I really enjoy connecting with my friends which i didn't see for a long time. There is nothing bad about you not liking facebook. We are open to many options here in the internet so just enjoy!

I think that alot of people are getting fed up with facebook as there is always the same old things on there with the same old people putting the same old things on their walls.The applications are not that great either and as for the games they are not that great like when i was on it alot more in 2008,the games were better then aswell as there were alot of different things and now there are other sites that are better aswell as they pay,where as face book do not pay.I am on here all the time and i have more fun on here than on facebook.

We have the same predicamentt jugsjugs...i'm thinking that facebook applications were better before than today. Its because they placed too much possibilities that they are not that good anymore, and it's too overwhelming for me, too much interaction possibilities...and the games were more mysterious and thrilling before as compared to their games now. Even kids lie about their age just to get hold of a facebook account and they can play games.

I can sympathize with you. Though I also have a facebook account for years now, I don't use it that much except to communicate with my sister because she is an FB addict.LOL
I am not just interested reading what my friends are thinking or doing unless I'll be talking to them specifically.
Plus, my partner had used this site to flirt with other women that had nearly ruined our relationship... Now, I'm getting too personal.:-)

If I am still single and looking for a possible relationship thru the net, then, I may be one of the many members using the FB applications. I used to play game (Yoville) until I discovered Mylot.

Wow! that's pretty sad on your part...i know the flirtable application in facebook which is pretty much accessible for people who wanted to flirt 24/7...it may be a portal of infidelity on any women in a relationship out there. Thanks for the comment eurekafemme, happy mylotting.

that's right it is like...who care anyway if you're pissed off or anything...no need to shout it out in the wall posts of facebook..but if it helps their going crazy minds...then go ahead but honestly...its pretty irritating.

I got addicted to facebook. When I started being a member everything changed.Where can you find a site which is very user friendly, you could earn cash and meet a lot of good people here. A community were in people help each other and united in one community...

Well I guess if you have some privacy issues with it then better close your account than let it stay there longer. I really respect your valid points but for me I have nothing against that facebook and I pretty well know the limitations of that site that is why I limit the picture I have in there and that is just it.

I also don't like facebook that much, and it is actually not my primary social networking site account. I preferred another SNS. My facebook was been infected by virus. It automatically sends something to those people in my friends list without my permission. I believe that your account can be hacked so beware of it. I now seldom open my account on facebook.

I don't really use Facebook all that much. But I have family members that are on it constantly. They really need to let people what they are really doing during the day. But it really doesn't sound all that interesting to me. Sometimes they get friend requests from complete strangers and let them become their friend without really knowing them.

I think you are like me and probably don't spend a lot of time on facebook. Aside from the new layout, they have updated their privecy settings for users. I'm sure there is a way to mark certin things privite and not have things magically appear on your wall that you don't want there. I know you started this discussion to vent, and there is nothing wrong with it, but... maybe you should take another look at those settings.

I like facebook fairly enough, and there are some things that I don't like about it as well. It's privacy settings are okay, you can post anything on your wall and actually choose specific people you want or don't want to get to see it. The privacy customization applies to pictures, too. However, you can't really do anything about tagged statuses and photos with you in it posted by your friends. What I don't like are those too many nonsense applications, and all the invites to join in everybody's games, and then I have to reset the notification settings.

I use it and find that it is okay providing your own privacy settings are maximised.
For example not displaying my email to everyone.
I don't have my location on there either.
I agree that the comments people write are sometimes not terribly thrilling but then neither are mine.
It's really just a place to wave to your friends from the distance.

Yeah it is a socail site...a way to interact with long lost relatives and friends but some of their applications are not too private anymore. Some of them take socializing into a different level....it scares me sometimes. Thanks for the comment pandaeyes, happy mylotting.

Facebook is the window of making relationship with our friends. i have been using it since December 2008. Since i have facebook,i could meet every of my friend even we have not met very long time. we can share the picture together. some picture might be silly, but i do not think so they mean to insult or embarrass us. i do not take it seriously. i also used to put some picture where i can look good on my picture normally, never think that i want to insult my friends by the picture.
