Which is the best place for movies? The release are never to be missed being in a theater but waiting a little longer can get you the original DVD and then enjoy sitting in the house with everyone of your choice for the movie.Do the theater conditions bother you! Well there are interests of vivid types and well everyone has their own reasons to watch a movie in any way they desire, right. What do you choose most of the time.Share the thought.

of course the place for watching movies is at movie houses. the sound, the picture, the ambiance, the chair, the mood, the everything. but it is expensive to watch a movie now. nowadays, i just wait for the dvd released movies on sale or wait for the release on television.

Time do change one's likes and dislikes.Nowadays movies with the DVD releases, its our choice, right. The cost has been increasing surely and the temptation to go and watch a movie at times would not make one think of spending money and rather even make them spend more at the break/interval during the movie LOL.

I usually don't go to the cinema because in this country is overly expensive -compared to other countries too-, so I prefer to watch the movie at home. I don't have to pay for overpriced popcorn, but I can prepare them at home instead, I can eat any other thing without being told to get off the cinema, I can put the lights to my liking... there's nothing like home

Yes,the money can be a big factor. In my country there's a average limit to the movie's rates. It affordable in most parts of our country,India. Some theaters though impose high charges on movies that seem to have taken lots of bookings and that have record hits week by week, still the prices then after a few days comedown to normal one's. Home is a sure provider of all type of eatables till one has it left, right! Watching with lights on is never the way in a theater and which has a way being in our home. We are the boss there and its our free will to get the control, at least while watching our favorite movies with a pack of pop corn or anything, isn't!

Hi, tintukm. I like going to the theater to watch movies. But, I also like watching movies at home too. Watching movies at the theater is fun especially when the lights are turned off. It is also romantic too. But I would like to watch a movie at home because I can choose what kinds of food that I would like to eat. I also don't have to pay high amounts on food and snacks either. Whatever I have to eat at my house is free for me.

Of course there is so much unpaid luxury for anyone of us in our home during the movies, specially.Well its no that we don't pay for the food that we eat,but to pay for each and every bit in a theater isn't that convincing, right! The food surely foes well with any kind of movie,I may think I may not eat when a crucial party of the movie is been revealed but that's when I would be searching for more and more snacks to go with.Just like any kind of amusement in watching t.v ,a game of soccer, cricket or things like that, movie do have a big part in pleasing anyone and well for the cozy and tempting parts as you point out of romance here,I too feel going and watching movie with a friend of the opposite gender is a delight. The movie's virtual part highlights the secret love or actually friendship hidden between the two and who knows that really help in the lifelong bonding.Theaters can be the landmark of the beginning of something never thought of in case of love just as movies.

I prefer watching movies in the cinema when they're released and then if I really like them then I'll sometimes buy them on DVD so I can watch them again at home. If it's a movie I don't really mind watching then I'll usually just wait until the DVD release but if it's something I really want to watch I'll go to the cinema. The experience in a theater is a lot better than it is at home because the screen is huge and if you get premier seats they're REALLY comfortable. I also like the atmosphere in a cinema :-).

The atmosphere really matters, ain't!The anxiety and the need to get hold of the brand new display of a movie can surely be achieved only in a theater.Good to hear that you are a buyer of the DVD that of a movie that is once seen.I also have this habit, well most of the time its not for me only,I like showcasing the same movie to my friends when they come home, its like sharing the wonderful parts of the movie, which they wouldn't have seen or have missed in theater, parts which they and I like to watch again and again, sometimes to get the funny side out of it,may be the action packed stunt on it,or simply the classic acting done by anyone. In a theater paying more money do give us comfort and why not when its our favorite actors, actresses and anyone who we are a fan of are being showcased.

Hello tintukm! I love going to the movies! Not all the time because it is expensive, but I love the experience! In the city I live now there is no movie theater, so I have to wait it to be released in DVD to watch it! But if I had the option, I will definitively prefer going to the movies! Specially if it is in 3D I like it very very very much! Have a nice day, Libna! Happy mylotting!

This is so not happening,I really feel for you,not even a single movie theater around your place, well is it far away, yet it seems to be too much kind of a waiting for you to have a full look at the movie. These days with lots of trailers and pics and shots, the desire to have a look at he movie gets on top of everyone. Its good to know that the DVD is in the market,if that were also difficult to get then it would have been so kind of a isolated situation for you. You opt of movie theaters,is it always because of the fact that you are missing the theaters or you always longed for the movies to be seen inside a theater. Yes 3D is never to be missed,it must be watched inside a theater for the full over whelming kind of experience!

Hello! If I can wait some new movie who can watch only at cinema. I go to cinema and watch it with my friends. But better I like a home atmosfer. On home you can seat at soft and relax while watching movie. And than you need go to toilet, you can just pause the movie on DVD and go to toilet. But on cinema you can't pause a movie.

The luxury to go to toilet without having to miss any part of the running movies is never possible in a theater until unless the half time i on the go.But if the toilet session had to during exactly the start or even after the interval ,then its so sad and spoils the interest once and for all. Home sweet home, can provide us all that,it never seems one is waiting or is disturbed by the interval, one could just go and relax,do anything, well even if its any other matter,I mean and could come back anytime, wanted to complete watching the movie. Happy watching movies, even in the theater or anywhere one like's,but home's better, right!

I enjoy watching them at home on DVD. That way you can pause it, if you missed something or if something was funny rerun it. Not to mention you can wear whatever you want and nobody will say anything or make fun of you.

Having full control over the movie can only be achieved if one is in their home or watching movies on a video player or even if one has the ownership to a theater LOL. This could be the best way if the traveling, the facilities and other involvements can be taken care of when watching a movie in home, you do say there won't be having any concern for the dress we were, the place being our own and the people too around being our well wishers and moreover not the one's whom we would be seeing for the first time. The needs in that way are surely are fulfilled, its simply watching a movie, rather than taking lot of things into mind, that what you too try to convey, right! Do you watch movies and over,I ask you this because most of the time, when I feel I like a theme or so or anything then I watch the same movie as ken as ever, simply for the interest of it.

I love watching movies at the theatre. it's just the other people with their chatting, cell phone calls etc. Watching at home is good now with having our 2 large screen TVs. I can stopthe movie if I get a call, or if i need to go to the boys room. Also, the snacks are a heck of a lot cheaper.

Of course, there are lot of people in the movie theater and its not most of the time in our hands to actually have a control of each and everyone one of them, there would be disturbances ,as you too mention in forms of sudden calls to a person's cell phone who would be sitting next to us and one could miss, the turning point or the interesting dialogues. Then asking a recap of that even to our friends or relatives sitting next to us, would ask us to sit quiet and that is enough to spoil the mood, right! There are even people who smoke inside the theater even after warning them of the penalties they do not agree to stop, well being in our home and watching peacefully and of course any time is an advantage,I guess. The snacks being cheaper,is rightly pointed out LOL.good to know you have two large displays,we only have one that too only 21 inches of SONY company!

I used to like going to the theater to watch movies and sometimes I still do but mostly I wait for them to come out on DVD and I watch them at home. It's just so much more convenient and easy, especially since I have Netflix and movies arrive in my mailbox. There are just so many advantages to watching at home. First it's a lot cheaper. I can get a whole months worth of movies at home for the price of one trip to the theater and I don't have to burn any gas to get there. No traffic or parking headaches either. Then, I have the convenience of watching whenever I want and if I get a phone call or have to go to the bathroom or something, I love that pause button so I don't miss any of the movie. I have a little bit of the movie theater experience with my big screen TV and surround sound and the quality is tremendous with today's DVDs and especially Blue Ray. I'm definitely a home movie guy.

hi,tin, there are some movies which are technically high value..those i prefer to watch in theatres only[recently AVATAR-3D..I MAX ,Hyderabad,A.P.,India]But normal movies like sentiment, fun etc, there is no specification, may be in house or theatre. Have a nice time, friend.

You rightly point out the need for watching movies in theaters which have high tech involvement in it.Especially the newest of the lot Avatar that being 1 3d and I-max factor too going with makes it an unavoidable trip to the theaters and well the normal theaters weren't enough, right! If the house has the environment like that of a theater then would you mind sitting at home,I mean an projector and with a fully furnished sound systems and things resembling a theater, rather! I would choose home, then!Well its would cost a lot,for accommodating much more people other than the number it would get a lot of the pockets. So to watch a movie once a while is better in a theater.

When the movie is really beautiful, I just have to watch it in the theaters. But if I feel that it's not that good, I usually download or buy a DVD. Also, when I watch with my friends, it has to be in the movies :D

hi! i watch movies at home, because it is free and at this stage i really don't have any surplus money to go to theater, because I need to save money for my education. i watch movies almost everyday with my cousin and there are not many left that I haven't watched yet :)

Saving money and that too for your own education is the best thing,I guess.Earning and spending are part of life and sacrificing at times by not going for movies is a wonderful thought! Movies in home is time consuming too, right. There can be any part of the film that can can seen again and again if in a DVD or any other system that hold record function.None misses anything for the trouble of anyone.Watching the best films one likes that too with only the loved one's is so apt,I guess. Enjoy watching movies with your cousin and I would say put on the one's again and again that has the extraordinary touch to it.There are so many classics, right!Plays well until the DVD gets hurt or scratches I supposes!

Yes,whenever we wait for a movie to get released then its unavoidable! The curiosity kills us, right, watching the trailers , the whole theme of it make one go and see it being the first no matter any where or how much it would cost, well not ready to actually accept the most expensive of them, still to get a good look at it. Theaters are the perfect place if the first day or fist week or even the first month has to be the time for the watching. Some movies lately were actually booked the entire month in our place,it had 2012 , Avatar, and some of our other movies to go with, still not that a rush when compared with the 2 mentioned first in the list. Being in the home, its true that one could actually pas on the comments and everything related and non related to the movies, to our companions around in the room.

I think for big-style action films, the theatre is best because then you get the full effect. I try to go there when theres a film on I really want to see. I always have to go and see Jason Statham films preferabbly on the day they come out :). Sometimes there can be so many films I want to see and I just cant afford it so I wait til they come on DVD but then dodnt have any money anyway to buy them all haha.

I do love watching movies at the theater. I can say that for you to be able to feel and internalize the movie well, it should be on the place where it is best seen, and for me that is on the theater.

I prefer to see a film in the movies IF it is something I really want to see. Being in a theater is more dramatic, you're not susceptible to the interruptions that can happen at home like the phone ringing, or doorbell, or your kids or something like that. In a theater you are sitting in the dark which always makes it more dramatic - and your attention is focused on the film. So I really prefer the theater. Now, if I buy a dvd of something that I really loved watching or I never had the chance to see, then I will make an effort to watch it at night and turn off the lights in the room for a more 'theater' type effect.
