What the meaning of mistake?

according to me the meaning of mistake is where we know very we are doing wrong but still we are doing that's is the mistake.

As far as I'm concern, one knows his wrong but never wanna correct it ,that is a serious mistake.

For me, a mistake is something you have done of which is not the best choice! But then to every problem is a solution (quoted) ~ you simply have to live on.
