Why do you think pizza is a food that is always on top? Know something about fall is old recipe for pizza? where it comes from, why we love? Pizza is a pie of Italian origin, consisting of a thin bread with crust, covered with tomato sauce, cheese, sausages, olives, etc.. I prefer a thousand times more to see people eating pizza, not style snack / fast. Even if I am not a pizza fan by comparison looks nice, is nutritious and more healthy. The explanation of this success is explained by the social role of foods that become the meeting point of different social classes, because they are viewed with the same success of different social classes.

I think that pizza is so popular because of the wide variety of toppings, the fact that it tastes good, the fact that it's relatively inexpensive, and the fact that it does not cost that much. I love pizza, and my husband order it a couple of times a month, from a local place in town that we both like.

Pizza - An ever popular finger licking food.
Pizza has also tempt the local taste-buds and some creative chefs have modified the toppings to include hot and spicy to meet the local demand. I think this no fuss, fast and easy finger licking food is well liked by many because of its taste and the best part is, it is a meal by itself and very filling. You can never go wrong when you take pizza to replace breakfast, lunch or dinner as it gives you the fullness like all other food that we normally take as our daily meals.

I think the popularity is due to its convenience. You can phone a pizzeria and get a meal delivered in about a half hour. There is a minimum of preparation and a minimum of cleanup, you do not even have to use dishes if you do not want to. Add a few cans of pop and you have a complete meal. Making it yourself is just as labour intensive as any other meal. The convenience is having it made for you and delivered or going and picking it up. As far as nutrition, it really is not much more or less nutritious as any other fast food. It is high in fat (all that cheese!) and high in sodium (salt). Admittedly you can have healthier ingredients on it like some vegetables, or if you make it yourself you can substitute low fat cheeses and add some veggies, but the main attraction is that high fat foods taste good. While the present wisdom says pizza comes from Italy, I read somewhere that its present incarnation of all the extra toppings was invented in New York. Maybe we will never know.

there are many reasons why pizza is so popular... the main could be that it tastes awesomely awesome. Pizza is basically made of bread and no one can hate bread. Then you can choose what you can have with the bread. there are so many flavors available that it misses none. Every one can have it the way they want. Veg non-veg anything they like...... One more reason is the hype have created about it. No one can say that they don't like pizza. Its kinda taboo to say that you don't like a pizza....

I think it's because it is easy to cook it, and it is the fast option when people want eat. I too like pizza, and i cook it every week in holidays. I don't now if pizza is healthy for people, but many people buy it on shop and eat it on dinners when they come home from job. My favorite pizza type is with meal, cheese, and ketchup mm... And pizza first was cooked on 17gs in Italy.

This is a good question. Perhaps most people like eating pizzas? I really like eating it and therefore I bought an oven to make it at home. Since that, I love baking and I also bake cookies, cakes etc. I love China

I don't really like pizza. But it is quite convenient, you order it and it takes 15 minutes to come and eat. Save us lots of time in cooking. Taste? ... just ok ... better to go with cold cola

In the past poor of Napoli used to put tomato sauce over the bread their pay. That pizza was born. The time has gained popularity and tourists came particularly poor areas of Naples to taste the various recipes of pizza. Pizza has a long history of over 1000 years, dating back to medieval Rome, when a kind of crust called the Spice. The word itself, pizza, stands for "Pizzo" which is "mouth full" from the Old German language. I like all kinds of recipes for pizza, even my mother prepares at home, and is delicious, but I love pizza with ham and mushrooms.

I am not much of a fan of pizza either. One of the reasons is its prego sauce. I feel it is too chunky in some pizzas. Round table is okay though. I think people like pizza because its a convenient food. How? Just like everyone else here, I will say it is taken as delicious. Adding more now, many ingredients are together topped on it. This means you do not require to order side dishes. Yes, some restaurants these days are introducing breadsticks and salads to go with a pizza. But in reality pizza itself is heavy enough to make a stomach full. Another funny thing about it is that you do not need a fork or knife to cut it for eating. Just divide the slices and with hands you feed it to yourself. I heard in Italy pizzas are actually very expensive.

Pizza is such an easy food to make, it is a bit like eating a sandwich but with interesting combination's of filling. I think pizzas may have originated as trenchers long ago. In England people ate off trenchers which were a flat plate made of bread and I expect this was the same in countries all over Europe. A friend of mine at work was Moroccan and he always brought a flat circle of bread with him for his packed lunch. Of course England didn't invent pizza and we didn't even have tomatoes for a long time . The toppings always seem Italian and so I think that is where they originated.

thanks icesmile, i think is because brand owner who make pizza give a good promotion of their product, and that make pizza so popular, i think we can make some product popular if we can make a good promotion with our product, i think we can make satay more popular than pizza if satay give more promotion than pizza
