hello friend! just like you...no. haha and for the same reason that you gave here. but still depends, coz there are some instances that upon waking up, i do brush my teeth first because i will not be eating! haha so i will just go and upon reaching my destination that's the time for me to eat! so in that case, i brush first before eating! haha and that's what i am always doing when i am still working! but now, since i am just always at home, i just gargle well, then take my coffee & bread...and that's it!

I brush my teeth after meals. The principal reason for brushing one's teeth is to remove food particles that cause plaque. Why brush before eating if you're going to have to brush again afterwards.

hello there. the opposite is actually true for me - i get my appetite only after brushing my teeth. i usually wait 15 minutes after brushing before eating my breakfast. when my whole mouth is clean, food tastes better and cleaner. i don't know, maybe it's just me. anyway,if i'm rushing for school or work and do not have much time i would just gargle and eat my breakfast then brush my teeth and take a shower.

I brush my teeth on waking up which is about an hour before breakfast. Apparently, it is best to brush teeh then because brushing after breakfast damages the enamel. I do not know how true this is but I have done this for several years now and my teeth are in fairly good conditiong. It doesn't spoil the taste of food for me probably because it is so long before I start to eat. _Derek

Hi acie, I have been taught from the childhood to brush the teeth as the first thing in the morning. Now it is difficult for me to drink even water before brushing. I think it depends on the habit of us how we get training in the beginning. I know some people drink coffee/tea before brushing but most of them eat their breakfast after brushing the teeth and have the bath too. (This is the habit of the people of our native place).

Yes acie girl...water therapy at same time a good attitude to have a good food digestions. You see, once we feel hungry, our stomach aches because the wall of our intestine touch each other because there would be no more food to digest. The more we feel hurt when we eat immediately without drinking first water to separate the walls from touching each other. That's the purpose of it. However if we are NOT use to drink water first we feel uneasy. It is just a matter of teaching ourselves. Good night acie girl... Mobhomeir here...

hello! I usually brush my teeth before eating my breakfast or before talking to anyone. You know, I'm conscious that they might smell the bad breath... ewww... And it is already my routine... =)

hi friend... well you have your point.. but i guess its normal that people have bad breath in the morning.. but it really depends if the person always brush their teeth three times a day there's no foul smell will happen...i mean really really bad...that happens only if the person dont brushed their teeth every night.. you can do gargling with mouth wash..its very effective to have long lasting fresh breath.. until morning...right?? happy posting! take care!

I don't brush my teeth until after breakfast because it just makes sense that you don't. When you brush your teeth and then eat breakfast, you have to brush them again. If you wait until after you eat, you don't. Besides, I can't stand the taste of toothpaste with foods. It just doesn't mix well. Of course, if I am going out someplace for breakfast I will brush my teeth first because it would be pretty disgusting to be around others without having brushed my teeth first. :-)

I never brush my teeth before breakfast, cause the coffee wouldn't taste as good. LOL. Plus, it will change the taste of my breakfast, which is not fun.

Hahaha. Maybe they don't eat their breakfast at their home so they have to brush their teeth.. If that's the case, then I would too. I don't want to be ordering breakfast and putting my hand over my mouth so the lady at the counter wouldn't be able to smell my breath. hahahaha.

Hi Acie, Same with you i only gargle water before eating breakfast. though i know of some people who can't eat breakfast without brushing their teeth. i can't imagine the feelings or even the taste of the food after brushing ones teeth. me, i enjoy breakfast even with only a gargle of water.

Hi, acie_21. I will brush my teeth a couple of hours before it is time for me to eat. I will make sure that I brush them when I am not so hungry. That way, I won't have to worry about tasting the after effects of the toothpaste in my mouth.

It's funny because people brush their teeth before breakfast so they would just hop out for work or school after their breakfast. The whole point of brushing the teeth (which is to make your breath smell fresh and taste one too) is lost. Just like you, I only gargle before eating since I don't like my juice to taste funny because of the mint in the tooth paste. Anyway, I don't have any problem with morning breath since I rarely talk with anybody when I've just risen from the bed (*bad mood mode*..hehehe)
