keeping up the promise

If you promise something to someone, will you try hard to keep your promise up or ignore your promise if you can not keep it up even after trying your best. As far as I am concerned, I do not promise and if at all I promise, I will keep up my promise, at any cost

You are obsolutely right and I totally agree with you. Every deed of ours reflects our mind and nature. So always we must be vigilant in keeping up our words whether it is small or big or serious issue

Hi Aunty,
Like you i also wont promise anything to any one incase if at all if i promise then i will keep up my promise and definitely make sure i do my best to keep up my word at any cost by hook or crook.

Hi Vathsala, I am like you- I dont promise unless I feel that I am able to keep up my promise, and, once I do I will see to it that I keep it up to the best of my ability. However sometimes some nforeseen circumstances do make us helpless and I feel really bad if I am not able to fulfill my promise, but there is always a next time and another opportunity...

We know very well that before making any promise, whether we can keep up our word or not. If It is beyond our reach then, why should we promise. This is what i feel. You are correct, due to unforeseen circumstances, we are forced to make some promise fully knowing that we can not keep it up.

Yes. if there are no barriers and obstacles we can somehow manage to keep up our promise. If we are unable to fulfill our promise, we must say some excuses and apologise to the person to whom we have promised.

You are very true and practical. If we can fulfill our promise, then only we must do it otherwise, we should not promise anyone for anything. This is my view. I think you are also of the same opinion like me. Happy mylotting and have a good day

What you do is absolutely correct. Unnecessarily we should not promise anything to anyone unless we can able to keep it up. And you are true that in some time or the other we will be helpless and that time we will try our best to keep up our promise

In Hindi movie there is a song, 'jo wada kiya tho, nibhana padega'. This means, 'if you promise, you have to keep up your word.' The song continues that, 'let the world stop you or God stops you, you have to fulfill the promise. I am of such type. I will think before promissing anything. Once I promise someone something, I try all my best to fulfill that promise.

Yes. Your concept is right. This is the right approach. Even, before I promise somebody for something, I will think about it whether I can keep up my promise, if not I wont promise at all. But sometimes we need to promise out of compulsion like if we leave our young ones at home and if they ask for some eatables, we will simply say OK I WILL BRING IT but actually though they actually ask for some particular brand of chocolates or chips, and it is not available or out of stock, we are gone. We need to pacify them by giving some other substitute by breaking our promise

I too like you mostly I don’t make it if I am sure that I can’t make it out and if I promised something then I will try my best to keep the same. If something happened which is beyond in my control and by that way if I broke any promise then definitely I will apologize and explain the reason too. We are human and ‘errors are humane’.

You are correct. If any promise is done, at any cost it should be kept up. Even I do not hesitate to apologise if at all i am unable to keep up my promise even after trying to my best knowledge.

first while promissing,if i am capable of fulfilling the promise,then only i will promise,if not i will not promise,simply i will reject to promise,if i promise i have to stick on the words,mostly i will stick on my word,that is my hobby,have a

first of all i will not going to make any promises specially if i know i cant make it happened. maybe i will just say i will do it but not to add the word "promise" but then if i say promise i really see to it that i can make it though i will just inform them that it might be late. we cant avoid any emergency happened that stop us to make our promises happen but then what matter is we still make it even if its already late.

Ya I keep up my promise, at any cost. I try hard to keep my promise up. If I am unsuccessful to keep my promise. I always remember it. And it comes in my mind every time. So I hard work to fulfill it.

Once we promise someone for something, definitely we must keep it up at any cost. If we can not fulfill our word then we must sincerely apologise or should not promise at all without knowing whether we can keep it up or not. If at all we promise, We must always remember it till we keep it up
