He has been in the news alot. Some things have appeared a bit fishy. He is a Democrat that has said he will not seek re-election due to health issues (terminal cancer). Then he says that the party is booting him because he wouldnt vote for the healthcare bill. Now the Ethics Committee is investigating him for inappropriate behavior. Do you think he is a quack? Getting screwed? or maybe the cancer is really starting to affect his thoughts....

I think he is a quitter, not about not seeking re-election, but about stepping down. If what Massa is saying is true he did nothing wrong, maybe stupid but not wrong. If that was the case I would not give up until the Ethics committee decided my fate. As to this charge of Rahm railroading him out because Massa was a no vote, maybe Massa is right, but Massa let Rahm railroad him.

Yes, committment!
He blew that when he admittedly took liberties with his staff.
Committment like serving out a full term as Governor of Alaska for example.

The thing I don't understand is that people have done a lot more than what he "says" happened on New Years eve. I would put MY money on it that he did something much worse than what he claims he did. I think you will hear more about why he is stepping down, and I am sure it has nothing to do with health care.

I think the guy is in trouble, and it has nothing to do with health, or health care. He did something more than he has admitted to, and I am sure that we will find out what it is soon. It seams like he is in full blame everyone else mode, and needs to get his five stories straight, and go with the TRUTH!!

Debater, I would suggest you find and watch the interview in it's entirety. It really is the only way to get the whole picture, the time line and a lot of details are very important, especialy with the percieved flip-flop on his reason for resigning, it ties in in way thats important to the story.

Here is the problem: First he said that he was leaving because of health reasons, then he said that he was leaving because he did something that was inappropriate and he held himself to higher standards, then he said that he was being forced out. So Laglen, when you say that you "believe what the person says", can you please let me know which one of the things he says happened you actually believe?

I think he was without a doubt the craziest member of Congress, and that's saying a lot...lol! Did you happen to see Glenn Beck interview him? Poor Glenn, he thought he was going to get this big interview with all kinds of revelations about the Democratic party but all he got was a "tickle party".
Seriously, first he tells of using "salty language" and tells the story of the wedding reception but then we learn he's also been accused of "groping" male staffers so he tells about a tickle party. Talk about bazaar! Poor Glenn, he had to apologize to his audience for wasting their time. I wonder if he had been aware that Massa was opposed to the health care plan not because it was too liberal or "socialist" but because he wanted a single-payer plan?

X has a point. Yes Beck new about the single payer, Massa said it in the interview. The tickle party was a bunch of guys horsing around. And he explained in chronological order what happened and it made sense to me. I think Beck was disappointed because he wanted to dish and Massa just wanted to talk about his own situation.

Laglen, how many men of Massa's age do you know that "horse around" by tickling each other?
Quite a few but more wrestling or sparring. But maybe what I would call sparring he calls tickling? Lmao I dont know! The more I think about this, and talk about this, I realize he doesnt mean much to me and it is a silly debate. I have a short attention span.
