hey all!! :) of late i've started reading a different genre of books. novels are something that i always read, like suspense, romance, thriller etc. but now i am into reading these "self-development" books! one of them is "how to make friends and influence people" its by dale carneigne. what am reading now is"stop worrying and start living" in these kinds of books u get to consiously apply whatever u are reading in ur life and this helps change things :) most of the things are very very simple and we might know it but we overlook it in our day=to-day lives.so do u like reading these kinds of books? :)

I have read many of those books about personal development, and some of them have been pretty interesting and helpful. I don't think that I have read any books by Dale Carnegie, but I have heard the name of the book that you mention. When I visit the library I often have a look at the books about personal development and if I find anything interesting I borrow the book. One of my favourite authors is Wayne Dyer and I have read many of his books. I like them very much, and some of them I have read several times.

Dr. Wayne W. Dyer is a great author. I love him too that's why I follow him on Twitter. Even his Twitter account has a lot of inspiring tweets to reflect to.

Martha Beck has great books about self-development; read "Finding your own north star" and "Steering by starlight". I admit I am addicted to self-development books. Sometimes I have to remember to actually follow through with the advice in the books not just read them!

Hi Khalida... I have read both of those books by Dale Carneigie and I tell you that they're really useful and helpful... Such selected books are really helpful.. And millions of copies of those two have already been bought by many. If millions think it is going to help, why should we be an exception... ? Good Luck!!! Enjoy reading and using those principles in real life.. Not only it is helpful, but also it is a lot of fun... trust me... Have fun!!!

Hello khalida :) Yes I often read self-development and Christian living books and it helps a lot. Though it's seasonal, like sometimes I feel like reading fantasy stories and other times I want informative ones; I still make sure that I read those self-help books. Usually my friends would say that I don't need those books because life lessons are gained from experience. But in my own opinion, getting advice from the expert or the more experienced still matters. It not just help me on my English proficiency, it also teaches me profound lessons about life. My favorites are Og Mandino's "The Greatest Salesman in the World" and "The Purpose Driven Life". Both are two powerful books. ;) I also love Marilyn Hickey's "Freedom from Bondages" which is a combination of self-help and spiritual book. She clearly teaches rightful living and accompanies her advices from verses in the Bible. I also love the book "Questions Teens Often Ask/ Answers They Need" and "When God Writes Your Love Story" though I have just read few of them. All helped me in my views about God and in making important life decisions. I don't think there's nothing wrong with reading those. In fact, it even helps us get through life. ;) If we think we know-it-all, then there must be something wrong. Take care and God bless!

are you need to read that books? my opinion is that if you are strong and have dreams you can come true and to be self confident without some help .i admire people who are over the little things but they see in them some little part of the happiness and try to admire anothers feelings and actions.
