What does immortality mean to you?

Hello dear friends, I used to think that immortality lies in being remembered by other humans through their entire life spans. But now, with sufficient consideration I have this logic that says that immortality can't be achieved just by remaining in memories that are mortal themselves. What is true immortality. How can this be achieved? People will forget you eventually once you leave this earth. True death is not the death of our physical being. It is something more than that. It is the marring of the images others bear for us. What then signifies immortality of a living soul? I have my own opinion on this and I will reveal it in course of this discussion. Thanks in advance for your response God bless you all

Yes, my friend. You're right. As a mortal animal none can be immortal physically. The significance of mortality lies in staying alive in people's mind. And a person can achieve immortality with his/her deeds. Souls have no value unless it's inserted into a human body by Allah. There are a number of examples of these cases. There is saying on this: "A man lives through his good deeds, not his/her name." May Allah bless you.

Hi bro, I am here because I want to know your opinion. :) I think nothing that we want, or dont want matters. :) So craving for immortality is funny. :)

How come our want doesn't matter? Want when supported by wisdom can bring you anything. Don't you believe so?
