Sometimes when I hear a song I like immediately think of the music video to the song, I guess its because music and television go hand in hand especially now days, the music videos tend to leave a strong impression in my mind even the bad videos lol well anyway. Do you sometimes involuntarily think of the music video while listen favorite song?

if its a new song i check out youtube immediately if there's already a music video. its just frustrating if the music video is not as great as the song.

Hey apples99, When I watch any music video, I enjoy its representation. But when I listen to a song, I make a picture with my own imagination which is much better than any music video. That's why I enjoy listening music more than watching its video. Have a nice day.

If I saw the video first , it happens all the time. But if I heard the song on the radio and then saw the video, it depends on how well I liked the video.

I sometimes do. I don't a lot of the time because I am not a big watcher of music videos.

Not really, as I don't watch tv much, but I do listen to many songs. Still, if this counts, I usually imagine the music videos.

Yes, whenever I hear a song I like and start singing that, the next thought comes in mind, would that I could watch this song's video. Music is good to feel but visuals give such a strong feel.

I do that, especially if it's a really good video. There have been songs that I can't remember the name of them but remember the video and if I ask the right person and describe the video, I can usually get the answer to who sang it or what song it was.

I never get to SEE music videos any more. We have VH1 and MTV, and no matter when I'm flipping channels there are never music videos on either of them.

Many of the songs I usually listen to don't have a music video, so it's difficult to think of one, but when I listen to a song with a music video I don't usually imagine it either. I'm not a big fan of music videos, so if I watch them, I do it only once or twice.

If I see the video before I really listen to a song, yes, I always think of the video. I prefer to listen to a song on its own until it grows on me, and make up my own "video" in my head. Then, I might look up the vieo to see what the artist/video producers thought of the same song.

Yes, especially if the music videos are with a story background, such as a tragic love story and every phrase of the music brings back the scene of the music videos. But bad ones, I might not be able to relate that easily unless it's really that bad that I can't forget.

Hi, Apples99, I love to hear music, first priority, music video is my second priority. By listening we enjoy every sound, by watching our concentration is lost in music, it goes to video, it goes to story of the video. Just like you said, it happens. Song said one thing and visual is another. That is very bad. Any music videos gives entertain to senses. Both eye and ear are engaged. Music is also a medicine to stress too.

No, because I rarely watch music videos. So there's no connection.

For some songs I have never seen a Video of it, and not sure that there is one, but the one that when I hear the song I see the video is Carrie Underwood's "Cowboy Cassanova". Personally this is one of my favorites of hers, and the video is awesome with it as well.

Of course I do. I imagine a music video in my mind whenever I hear a song I like. Well, sometimes, it relates to me and sometimes not. Sometimes, when I really badly want to see it in my own music video, I mix videos and make it into my whole new video.

not really. when i want a song i want it because there is something that reminds me of a certain moment, a memory. me and my wife has a lot of songs that we like not because of the video but because that song has a lot of memories for us. or if i hear one of our favorite song i hum or wistle to the tune. my wife is a good singer so she sings with it when we hear our favorite song.

Yes,it is obvious i think. For me , when ever I listen to a song naturally the video of that song will come to my mind.Even if the song is from yet unreleased movie I will imagine my own video, thinking it would be taken like this..lol ! If it is love song then surely i will enjoy thinking every moment of that video...I like love songs...

I don't think of the video since I don't bother remembering it to be honest. Although some videos pop through my head (I can say that only the good ones do), I forget them quickly and tend to also forger the song itself once I watch another good music video on MTV/VH1 and all other music channels.
