Here in the UK it is Mothers Day today
Well my Daughter has sent me a card from herself and her Brother through a Site on the Internet that post them out
I loved the Card it has a laughing Cat in front
The exact words where
To A Fab Mum
I am smiling because you're my Mum
and laughing because there is nothing you can do about it
Of course I sent a Thank you message to both my Children
My Son sent back 'What Card Mum, it is not your Birthday till June?' Lol that is my Boy for you, good Job he has a Sister who remembers lol
Anyway I rang my Daughter Friday and she asked me if I would be in all Day Saturday so I told her I would be out in the morning for an hour to get the Dongel of D, she went oh right, I asked her why and she said just asking
Well, 11am the Door went, it was a Parcel, I was trying to figure who was sending a parcel to me as I was not expecting anything
I took the Parcel and it felt empty, my Face must have shown my thoughts as the Delivery Guy just smiled, while I was opening the parcel my thoughts where someone is taking the pi** here sending me an empty Parcel, writing on it do not open with anything sharp, first I thought it was D as he does have a sense of Humour like that
Gissi again was getting impatient and stuck his nose in the Box as I managed to open it a bit as I opened it all the way, we both got a surprise, specially Gissi, he ran for it lol, as this beautiful Heart Balloon with Happy Mother's Day written on it, floated out of the Box, I had tears in my eyes when I saw this
Of course Gissi was hiding behind me and then went in the Hall way, when he came back in he gave the Balloon a right look lol
I rang my Daughter to thank her as it was so lovely of her I also rang my Son, who said 'Mel did not tell me again that she sent that I just had to laugh at him lol
My Children are so special to me I could not ask for better ever, I know I am very lucky with my 2 wonderful Children
So have you been surprised lately?

Awwwwwwww, that was so nice of your daughter. Happy mother'd day to u. Ours is not till may. It's always nice when your children remember special occasions. I don't have a daughter but i believe they are better at things like that than boys are. U tell gissi to give his mom a hug,the only surprise i had this last week was not a good one. Maybe a good one will come my way soon. glad u got a good one.

Aw that's lovely hun, I bet Gissi's face was a picture too.
My son sent me a lovely funny card but I have yet to hear from him on the phone today. He works in a restaurant so he works long, hard hours and I don't expect a phone call. However, it was a lovely surprise getting the card .............. he normally forgets LOL

I love the idea of a balloon in a parcel. That is terrific. I would have never thought of it. I have heard that saying that the cat is saying before, but turned around on siblings. I did in fact make plaques for my brother and sister with paper doll cut outs that said "I am smiling because you are my (sister, or brother) and I am laughing because you can't do anything about it." One of my favorite all time things to do. I never thought of it for a parent greeting. Happy Mother's Day, Gabs.

Oh wow hun I didn't realize that Mother's Day in the UK was in March! Happy Mother's Day my dear. I am so glad that your kids made it special for you (even if your daughter did most of the work). Our Mother's Day in Canada is in May! I was surprised recently by my husband. He got me some purple tulips and the timing couldn't have been more perfect as I was going through a heck of a lot and I was stressed to the max. I am feeling a bit better though although we are STILL unsure of what the new owners plans are for the house we are renting!

I agree, that was very sweet of the hubby to get me those purple tulips just because! That is what I have been doing Sweetz ... Concentrating on my family and how to get the money together to move us to Alberta! I'm not even worried or stressed anymore over the other thing because it's not my problem to fix anymore, and signs have been shown that it's never going to be fixed so I'm not even going to worry about it anymore! Hope you and Gissi have a great week! Love You Both TONS, Teddy XxXx

Hi Gabs & Gissi! Happy Mother's Day! I think that was such a
nice fun gift that your daughter sent you! I would have never
thought of anything that clever!lol And poor Gissi! Scared of
a balloon! Tell him his cousins, Star and Luna love them! They
love to try to chase them! When my girlfriend got me them for
my birthday they went crazy trying to get at them! They would
grab the ribbons attached to them and drag them around all over
the house!lol I hope you have a wonderful Mother's Day Gabs
because you deserve it! Here in the US it is in May!

Happy Mothers Day! I hope that you had a special day today! I am glad that you have two wonderful children than you are really proud of. My son does a father's day card for me. I do expect it each time. And though I do expect it is is always a surprise, since I do acknowledge his efforts to please me and make me happy. I do think that children are a special gift and we should do take good care of them while we can.

It's Sunday here and we all woke up to the Spring, time change, our clocks need to be set one hour ahead. It's a good thing they do this on Sunday, that way when you wake up at the same time as you did on Saterday at the very most all you'll be late to is church. But it is always a surprise how much we have to readjust to these changes.

We don’t celebrate Mother’s Day here until the first Sunday in May if I’m not mistaken. Your kids sound so nice, what a lovely surprise to have the balloons float out of the box; I would have loved to have seen Gissi! You are very fortunate to have good kids...The last surprise I had was when my husband came home with a small but very beautiful aquarium with three fish in it for my daughter. We two cats, one dog, one bird and three fish we are now officially a zoo!

That was very exciting Gabs, I'm glad you had a wonderful Mother's Day, the beautiful heart balloon is a cute little thing that gave you great surprise and happiness. You're children were so loving and thoughtful, I admire them for that. Just like others Mother's Day here is on the second week of May, My children just treated me out for dinner on Mother's Day. What excite us if we could reach the amount needed for me to take home a gift from the restaurant, if short they would let me order more. Oh your gift is from the restaurant, I said, they would answer laughing, no mom from our hearts and our pockets...Belated Happy Mother's Day, Gabs...Huggs...

No, I’ve never been surprised by anybody ever….even then there is a smile on my lips as I can just imagine the balloon popping up and then floating and the tears of joy in your eyes! As mothers, we all are blessed with our children…only some show it some don’t…some cultures appreciates such celebrations, others don’t. however, nothing takes away the special warmth and pride when your child gifts your something…maybe someday I’ll be lucky like you Gabs….maybe my son will surprise me someday.

That sounds like a very cute surprise. The other day we had lunch with my mother, and I was happy to see that she was wearing the sapphire and diamond bracelet that my sister, grandfather and I bought for her for Mother's Day a few years ago. I bought myself a diamond and garnet bracelet, and she loved it, but didn't want to spend the money on herself, so my sister, grandfather, and I decided to buy her one.
