I've Been Updating My Friends List

Yep, me too. I ran through the list the other day and was shocked too to see a lot of a period of inactivity. That's pretty alarming, considering the fact that a lot of them had large number of posts. So I hope most of them come back soon.. maybe they have lost their passwords or totally am busy with their offline lives or something. Or totally with other programs that they totally lost touch with myLot..who knows.

I go through spurts here on myLot anymore. I have thought about going through my friends list, but it just seems like a daunting task. I have had other things going on that have kept me from coming here as often anymore and when I am here I have trouble finding things that I want to respond to.

I've heard a lot of mylotters are just going on Facebook and getting addicted. Several times I've had people on my friend list pop up and apologize for being absent, but they had been on mylot. And they also relate how many people on Facebook used to be on mylot. I guess people realy like hooking up with old friends, playing games...

Well, I don't think myLot is dying... it's garnered 500 new members in the past week or two alone! I think it's just that some people run out of things to say, or like you, are absent for personal reasons but come back when things improve for them. If their profile hasn't been deleted, you can still PM them to find out what's what. (I've done that before.)

Hi Tina. I'm glad to see that you're more active again. I hope your health issues are better??? I'm nowhere near as active as I used to be, for the time being, anyway. I'm gearing up to begin a new business that looks to be extremely lucrative but, for now, it's in the start-up phase so that means that I must put a lot of my time into it. I'm not disclosing what it is, yet, though. I don't want to jinx it. LOL Hopefully, once this gets going, I'll have the help I'll need and can spend more time here again. I know I'm missing so much! I went through some of the people on my friends list and noticed a lot of them were inactive, too. There could be any number of reasons and some of them may come back. I hope so! You get to know some people here so well and, when they just disappear, you tend to wonder what's going on in their lives. Me? I usually pop in here at least once a day but I'm so very busy with the business and also gearing up for my veggie garden and planting new fruit trees and berry bushes. Then, there's also the repairing the damage this winter has caused. We've had a lot of trees come down and parts of our fence from all the snow (and now the non-stop rain). I'm also working harder to deal with all the stuff I inherited from my mother. I still have boxes in the basement that I haven't gone through yet. I want to clear out as much as I can from the basement now because of the business. And, lastly, I've been spending a lot of time at the dentist's office. After waiting for years to be able to go, I now can afford to have all the work done that I want/need done. Tomorrow, I'll be there for 2 1/2 hours while my new dentist repairs damage done by my old dentist. That's ALWAYS fun! Take care! Marti

I think the offline world sucks a lot of our time, and mylot can be a luxury. Sometimes the novelty of it wears off, and some people grow discouraged because the earnings are not enormous. For me, I come and go in stages, because my real life schedule is just too demanding.

I think people are just getting busy or finding other ways to spend their time. I miss alot of them that were here.

Maybe they are just taking a break like I did at one time People sometimes do that and then turn up again I still have a lot Friends that are not active and it makes me sad but I am hoping they will come back

I do not think that they are finding different earning sites, but some of them get more interested in game sites from time to time. Some of them feel discouraged when their friends do not comment as much as they would like. Sometimes real life just happens. Work takes a lot of time, or a family crisis, or something else like that.

Hi Tina. No, I don't think this site is dying. I do however think that people get busy with their lives and have to put mylot on the back burner sometimes. It doesn't matter how active a member is on here. If they are loyal to the site then chances are they will be back. Happy mylotting!

hi tina, that is correct i have find there lot of inactive people in mylot,simply they are entering and inactive immediately,i think it is due to lack of knowledge they are inactive,i am also not active for 8 months due to lack of knowledge hot to do with mylot ,that is the thing,have a nice day

We all lead busy lives, and therefore we have many demands. Sometimes I'm here a lot and other times not too much.

I have noticed the same thing Tina. I don’t believe that MyLot is dying because there have been a lot of new members and we can see the population numbers are increasing here. I think that people need a break every now and again for various reasons one being that life in the ‘real’ world has a way of taking over and demand our attention for extended periods sometimes. I am not usually as active here during our school holidays for example because my daughter needs my time then. I still receive a lot of notifications every day and I generally struggle to catch up so that tells me that MyLot is still going strong and the oldies will more than likely return when they are ready!

I think that they have realized that the earnings in here aren't much so they probably found something else that pays more, as they need more money than what they get here. I have noticed that too, as I have gone through some of my friends list and I have deleted some that haven't been here in months. I figure they probably aren't coming back, and if they do, then they want to be my friend again, then I will accept them then. With the economy being what it is, most people are having problems and need enough money to pay their bills. I think we all feel that way. I know I do, but I also feel that every little bit helps no matter how big or small. It is just extra income, as I do have a fixed income I receive every month, and I am thankful for that, as the money I make online just wouldn't do a thing to pay my bills. I am better off now than I was, but I still want to earn online as anything I can make over and above my income is ideal. It all adds up in the end, and that is all that matters. I am rarely active anymore because it just doesn't pay for me to be. I am now working outside of my home and so the piddly little pennies we make here is no longer a motive for me. But when I wasn't working and had no income coming in, this site along with some other sites, saved me. I was able to earn around $100 a month from all of them and that helped me so much. I could use the money to buy my smokes. I do come back once in awhile to mylot just because. I like to post a couple responses now and then just to stay active.

i don't think this site is dying. even if we have some members who get inactive for more than 60 days, i guess they will soon come back to the site and be active again. i have experience or have friends that came back posting lately. so i do not delete friends who became inactive. while some members are inactive, there are still new comers that make the site more lively. and of course, we are still here, the long timers.

Hi Tina! Nice to see you! Hope you are well! When mylot did that big changeover thingy they cleaned out alot of the inactive friends that were on our lists! So that cut out alot of friends! I just think that alot of people are just really busy with other things lately. I do know that alot of our friends are also spending alot of time on Facebook, of which I am not interested in being a member of although they all seem to want to invite me too anyway! If you are a member you will find alot mylotters active over there! Take care of yourself, Leslie

I need to go through my list too. I have a lot of people on there that haven't been active in a longtime. I think that people just move on to other things sometimes and alott of times they sign up thinking they are going to make a fortune. Take care.

I like you have not been very active lately. I just do not have all the time i had before. but i do try to make a appearance when ever i can. I always liked this site and all the people that i have met here. It is just my internet access is limited now.

I wanna have a better guess.Maybe these guys have something important to do .When they finish they will come back.I'm the new guy in here,I think It's a good way for me to chat on this .And I will tell my friends there is a pretty cool website that we haven't notice for a long time. So ,just relax.Because many people will join us.
