Rewards experiences?

I read the FAQ's and still am not too sure about this "rewards" incentive that was added on the latest update. So I think if we use the myLot search bar we earn a reward? Also myLot randomly rewards members for just being here and doing things? Or is that myLot randomly chooses whom earns for using the search engine here? Does one also earn a reward for using the search on myLot and responding to the discussions found in the results of said discussion along with their normal pay for the response? Anyone with "rewards" earnings please help me know how to earn the rewards? Thanks in advance all.

I have been rewarded twice for using the myLot search. But I'm not too clear why/how.
It's not like using the search at MyPoints, where you get so many points for so many searches each month.

I've used it now and have earned some cash.
Not a lot but still a little extra each day. Just do a bunch of searches until the box pops up saying you've earned a reward.
I did about 5 or 6 yesterday until I earned a penny.

I remember when GOAskAlice had her discussions about the new things that were going to be happening here on Mylot. I especially remember when she posted about the rewards for searching. I try to use it as much as I can, mostly for finding discussions to make sure I do repeated one and also to answer discussions that I may have missed. I have occasionally used it for web searches but will definitely use it more often. I have yet to get an award even though I do and have responded to discussions from my searches. I think the reward incentive for searches is a totally random thing. I hope I get one soon!

I have been earn one time of mylot rewards when I use it to search web and discussion, I earn eight cents of it, and after this few days, I didn't get reward from mylot by using search, so I have no idea how it's work.

I was not aware that we had that now webeishere. For me I am not here as much as I would like to be but I am glad you shared this in a discussion. I have been here a lot in past few days because I realize that I want to earn here and still do my school work. School work is first but I have been here making the effort to post here as well. I have new classes I am starting here soon in the next three weeks and I am not sure I can be here as much than but I am here now.
Thanks for sharing th info on the rewards and I will have to read more about this later if I have time.

I have used the search bar many times, but I have only gotten a reward a couple of times. I use the search bar to find information, so it definitely is helpful. If I were using it to try to earn rewards, on the other hand (which is against the guidelines, anyway), then it would definitely not be worth it. I could earn far more posting discussions and responses in the time that it has taken me to earn through the searches. However, since the reward from the searches is just a bonus and the real payment is finding the information that I am looking for, it has been well worth the time and effort to get that nice little surprise reward.
