Did you ever use a natural remedy for something that wasn't supposed to be cured

by one (a natural rememdy)?
I was tired all the time and didn't even have the energy to get out of bed. Three months later, I was fine. I used garlic 3xs a day, and I used ginseng. Some of my Doctors said it was all in my head, but going to a psychologist when I was not bothered by anything except being tired all the time was a waste of time and I wouldn't take uppers anyway. Some thought I had problems and wanted to throw different meds at the problems. But the meds made me tired, too. If they were getting at the problem, then I shouldn't be tired all the time. But I was until I did garlic and ginseng.
So have you used a natural remedy or remedies to cure things that were only supposed to be cured by pills, shots, surgery, etc.?

I have severe depression and in the winter I am the worst. I take a good vitamin and use ginseng as well. The vitamin has garlic and bee pollen in it. Good stuff. I think that alot of doctor's, and the FDA fot that matter, do not believe in natural health foods for ailments. I have used herbs all my life.

I've known people who changed their diet and were less depressed. One friend got rid of white sugar and white flour. She was the happiest person on the planet after that. She just used honey and other whole grain flours for everything and she was way better off. I had another friend who found out she couldn't process gluten, once she became gluten free, she was fine.
I've known some people with seasonal affective disorder who replaced all their light bulbs with the full-spectrum sun ones and were way less depressed.
Keep trying Celtic Eagle, you might just find a way to beat this yet, esp. the winter part of it. Thanks and take care.

I have changed my diet and eliminated sugar and white flour for a period and I didn't see any change. I was exercising and a lot more active too. And, I have tried the full-spectrum bulb and it didn't help.( Remember I have severe depression.) I have also tried meds of all kinds and nothing. I understand that a portion of this is "all in my head" but how much and why for so long. Spring and Summer is better so I am looking forward to not feeling so down and feeling like I just don't care anymore. Waiting patiently.

Thank you very much. I think we all need peace, love and happiness.
Yeah, my troubles are divided by two with this hubbie. So they're finally at a "standable" level.

I will go herbal before I go medicinal prescriptive. I use natural remedies to fix for my ailments. I have done this for as long as I can remember. Physicians don't like but oh well it is my body and the side effects are at a minimal. Ginseng does give you energy. But I never used garlic for it. Something to look into. Take care.

The garlic was for the infection(s) and mono virus that I had hanging out in my blood stream. The ginseng, was as you said, to give me energy. To live life and to have energy to fight the infections with the garlic.
Unfortunately, I have to go to a regular dr. to get the diagnosis unless I drive to VT and not to a city or town just across the way, but farther down, so at least an hour away.
Physicians -reg medical drs - don't like what they don't understand.
