Have you ever wished you can erase/or change your already "sent" Response?

There were times that i wish so. When i sometimes responded to discussions, and after a while of thinking what i've written, i'd wish i have not written that way or asked that question. I'd end up wishing for a way to change or erase something from what i've written. But this is not possible, we can't - How about you, do you sometimes wish too that you can change or alter something from your already sent reply? I hope i am not the only one ... or am i just thinking too much? :-)

hi! only twice I think but it was because I have sent it twice, it was a double response and the second time I abuse it so that the admin can erase it!

Yes, I wish I could edit some of my responses. But I guess the best we can do is add another comment and try and clarify what we said. Have a good Sunday, TigerLily.

yes, we can add a follow up comment, but i want to change want i have written & sent already. I dont want to let other people read it - thats oh la la :-(

I have lost count of the number of times I have hit the send button and then realised that I wanted to change something. All you can really do is add a separate comment to clarify your comment.

Or at least edit wrong grammars and incorrect spellings. Yes. I really like that feature, hopefully. It would minimize discussions with misunderstandings and such. I thought Admin have included this feature when she asked all users and members early this year. I guess it was not considered at all. Anyways, lets hope for this features' inclusion.

OMG, that really happens to me a lot of times tigerlily. It's the reasoned why I was forcced for the resignation. I responded to one of the email of my boss and instead of saying hello, I wrote there "Hell".. that was very offensive to her and she asked me to resigned in that day. She didn't accept my explanation and apology. Then, another instance when I respond to the email of my boyfriend I was under the impression that I've opened and wrote for my friend email and I talked about the intimate moments I've had with my boyfriend. It was really disgusting, then I just received an email from him saying what is this all about. I was so shocked and surprised we almost break up at that time. I was so careless when it comes to this one, I still didn't learn my lesson about it.

Its really funny tigerlily i was forced for resignation because of the word "hell" because of me being so careless and dont know how to do the re-read but just send it immediately hoping to respond with time sensitive. I need to learn my lesson and you as well... lol

Well I to experienced that in here since Mylot does not have the edit function to change your response. So it is after you pressed the submit button you realized that there are misspellings and grammatical errors and that you need to change your post. But that is not allowed in here, reasons behind is unknown but I guess it has something to do with the way they review each answer if it was written correctly or not that they determine the amount of payment they give you. I am not sure if that is the reason behind why they would not allow changing your post in here but I suspect that is it.

tigerlily1972, I must admit that there are times where and when I wish that I could erase or change our posted responses or comments. Especially, in situations where we have duplicated our posts due to some technical lags. But, I do not think I will go back on what I have said as like spoken words, once spoken can never be retracted or corrected. We just have to be responsible to admit our mistakes or be firm with what is right. I just believe in being right with principles. Have a nice day.

quoted : be firm with what is right. I like this one! This is what it should be.

i also have some experiences of posting somethings that i wish i haven't posted or something that i wish i can edit, sometimes. i guess, as mentioned by one responders here, you can just add a comment after your response to clarify or correct your mistakes... but i guess, we can now do something to any of our posts we wished we have not posted. before the upgrade, we can rate positive and negative and can report abuse, if the entries are made by other members. it is visible at the bottom of the entry, at the right side, the "+" "-" "!" signs. if it is our entry, there is nothing at the end of it, and you cannot do anything with it, rate or report the said entry of ours. but after the upgrade, the exclamation point (!) is now available for us to report to the admin. we can do something about our own entries now. we can even ask the admin to delete our own posts... i think it is possible now to delete our own response but not to edit it. if it is possible to delete, then we can make another entry.

Hi tigerlily, I think they made no option to edit our post because the help us in a way that we increase accuracy on our work. While doing this, I learned to always check my work, check my grammar, spelling and sense of my post. It really helps so I think its better to have this kind of procedure here in mylot. Happy mylotting :)

It really hasn't happened to me as I edit my post as I go, and if I post what I might not think would be appropriate, I will backspace and get rid of it, and post what I think would be more appropriate. If I misspell words, I can correct them right away, as I get the re underline under my words. I think though sometimes I wish I hadn't responded to a certain discussion that I thought I could give feedback, but at times it is hard to come up with good feedback. good luck to you and happy mylotting.

Sometimes I do, but that's why the preview option is avaible. But even then I don't always catch my mistakes until much later. But, its like oh well. If someone comments back, No big deal. If i remember then then I'll correct myself. Though I've had people comment back to me two three times just to correct their spelling.

Hello lily, before pressing the post response, we could preview and edit, but after it is sent, it is a bullet that left the muzzle, well we can add what we want but cant modify the 'sent' thing Happy posting, cheers Professor

Yes sometimes, I wish that I can erase the messages that I already sent but it's impossible; it was already sent. Well if there's one thing that I can do, I send another message and tell him/her that I made a bad mistake or say sorry to that person and admit your mistakes. It's not bad to say sorry. No one is born perfect.

If I ever feel like I need to change what I said, I just comment to my own response with the corrections. It would be more streamlined if comments could be edited though.
