Talk about a classless jerk, and definitely one who should get booted out come November if only for being an idiot but he'll probably get tons of campaign donations instead from the fringe element on the right. That is, once he's identified since so far those who know aren't telling! In case you haven't heard, during the debate on the House Floor tonight as Rep. Bart Stupak was speaking in opposition of a motion to recommit someone from the Republican side called him a "baby killer". : http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0310/34782.html So much for any hope of there ever being any "bipartisanship" with the GOP! I've posted some things against Stupak's position on the abortion language in the health care bill but this is just plain wrong. He's obviously very much opposed to abortion except in cases of rape, incest or to save the mother's life. BABY KILLER??? He absolutely, positively didn't deserve that. Even Iowa Republican Steve King didn't approve! "There are a lot of other words I would’ve used – not that," he said. Any comments? Does anyone know who the classless a$$hole might have been? Annie

According to what I've heard, the individual has been identified but the information has not been released. I am so sick of the ugly behavior as well as the excuses being made for it and the lame attempts to pretend it hasn't happened based on the lack of "proof" on youtube. What I find particularly entertaining is that if the situation was reversed...if the Republicans were trying to pass something that the Democrats were opposed to and they used the same lies, fear mongering, threats and intimidation tactics, it wouldn't be so acceptable. So, those who screamed and threatened the loudest managed to intimidate the entire Republican side of the House. I guess "Chicago style" is okay after all.

I heard it was someone with a southern accent. I am not stereotyping, I actually heard that stated on Cspan.

But, ladybug, didn't you know that there are government programs that will prevent that from happening? At least in La La Land there are. The hard facts are that government benefits kick in for lower (not poor) and middle income, uninsured Americans once a catastrophic event occurs that racks up thousands in medical bills. And if, for instance, your cancer is not diagnosed until you're in stage 4 and need an organ transplant...you're made comfortable until you die because you're not getting a transplant. That's why I'm married to my husband today. They didn't have private health insurance to cover diagnostic testing and the doctor was "pretty sure" it was gall bladder disease. It wasn't.

And, for the record, those republicans and democrats who voted against this bill are children killers and adult killers. When cancer rears its ugly head, and takes the life of a 4 year old, it is our social responsibility to prevent things like that.

Anniepa that paper that Bart Stupak got from Obama wasn't signed and it never will be a law.......Are you so dumb that you can't see that Obama is a lair and wouldn't know the truth if it hit him in the face....... So Bart Stupak got duped and to believe Obama is his biggest mistake......He and his group should have voted NO......

NO, I'm not "dumb". They should not have voted NO because the bill never was going to fund abortions to start with. Annie

The previous name-calling allegations were false. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-SCs6pSE8_I&feature=player_embedded The real video on the so-called incident. You will notice that nobody turned to look at the person who supposedly said the word, which is odd because curiosity would automatically have some heads turning. Aside from that the Senator admitted that he said "Baby Killer" but he also said "It's" aka It is as in reference to the bill. Small minor detail clearly left out but important as to who is being referenced. But perhaps the most sad fact is that Stupak proved he could be bought the White House, considering his once uncompromising position. In return, he got basically nothing.

I watched the 48 second video of the several hours of yesterday's ordeal, and can only echo the comments made from all the others who watched it. All this did was prove that for 48 seconds they did not mutter the n word at that time. Wow. That does leave the remainder of the day, and tons of footage to be circulating all over the internet. You sure had me convinced. Um, in case this isn't obvious - NOT!

From what I read neither side is saying who it is. Let them deal with it among themselves.

I have a feeling it will some out sooner or later who said it. I disagree about them dealing with it among themselves because I think the voters have a right too know as well. I know if MY Representative behaved in such a disgusting way I'D want to know! Annie

I agree but I still think it is for them to handle among themselves. I'm sure emotions ran high and people often say things they shouldn't. Look at mylot. LOL

MOre immature behavior from a bunch of immature people. None of them are professionals...some worse than others. Just think...these idiots run our country!!! Don't it make you want to cry? I know don't who said it...but I hope we find out so we can vote him out. If the past 10 years of congressional bad behavior has showed me anything...it is we need to think more carefully before elect people.

I found a video on youtube that was of CSPAN at the time it was said. It did not show it said it. The camera was facing the right way so see into the crowd. So who knows who said it...how do we know it was a republican? We know 30 something democrats did not vote for it...maybe it was one of them. Who knows. Probly it was a republican. I am sure we will find out soon enough. Someone will tell on him. There were too many poeple in the room for it not to get out who said it. Anyone who were Joe Wilson was when it was said? (please don't let it me a rep from my state....please not from my state..)LOL We have had enough trouble in my state with unprofessional elected officials...we don't need another one. Let another state take the hit this time.LOL.

As you know by now he was from Texas, the state I'd guess would be the runner-up for the most "unprofessional elected officials"...lol! Annie

Maybe you will have to ask the Democrats if they know because I remember they were very silent when there were disparaging comments and false accusations made about the US Troops not too long ago.
