Where To Lean on When In Despair

Some people choose to share with friends rather than parents when in despair. Others also love to share it with parents, or Moms specifically. I don't know why but I choose to keep it myself when I'm desperate... How about you, who's the best person for you to lean on in a desperate time of your life? Why?

I usually don't share my problems, I also kept it to myself but, sometimes we need others to lighten the burden. You have to share it yo your friends or someone who will listen to you :)

Yes, I agree with you. "No man is an island", as the saying goes. We need someone to share with, to talk with...But most of all, let us no forget that Jesus is there, ready to be our friend.

Yeah, I count Jesus as my friend and when I have a problem I always run to him first. Just like the vesre casting all our anxiety to Him because He will never leave us nor abandon us. :)

I share it with my close friends and family. If it still doesn't help me, I usually pray and ask for guidance.

You're right, Andy! When no one seems to listen, or when your burden is too heavy for you to bear, just come to Jesus...for the He's best friend that never fails!

When I was younger I usually chose to hide my problems, and I kept it all to myself. Sometimes I wrote about my feelings in my diary, but I didn't share my problems with other people. That has changed now, and now I like to talk to my husband when I am feeling really bad. We share everything, small things and big things. I also listen to him when he needs to talk. Some years ago I had a lot of problems and I was very depressed, I confided in my best friend and she helped me a lot.

I lean on my husband and my few close friends. I for a long time kept things to myself, and to some degree still do. But at this point I know I can't keep everything bottled up inside me. See, I have learned the hard way that it just takes too much of a toll on me. Because I have had one breakdown in my 20's and have come close couple other times. If things are really bad you need to get it out! If praying helps you wonderful. Otherwise turn to friends, family, a counselor, somebody. Good luck to you.
