The day would never end without a disappointing experience from a taxi driver. Some are choosy when it comes to their passengers. Some would make a contract with you instead of using their taxi meters. And the worst thing, their taxi meters drop in a substandard way.
And what is more worst, their air conditioning is malfunctioning.
How about you?.. what have you encountered when you ride a taxi cab?... I know not all of them have an unpleasant attitude, because some of them have a clean heart like returning a lost item to their respective owner.

I love taxis. Wheelchair accessible taxis are a new thing, and if I have money and an option I always get a cab. I know it sounds spoiled but for me it's a really unique experience. Some cabies try to trick me and charge me for things they're not allowed to such as securing the chair. However, most are nice. I think this is mostly because they don't want to be reported to the taxi and limousine commission. On the other hand, maybe I'm being too cynical and they're just decent people.

I have rarely ridden in a taxi but drove one myself for a few years. I remember one taxi ride that was terrifying! The driver spoke little English and speed limits meant nothing to him. I was so glad when it was over!!

My train arrived five hours late at midnight in America. I was given the choice of a free taxi ride or a hotel bed for the night. I decided to choose a free taxi ride for half an hour. It cost the train company forty dollars.
When I got a taxi in Paris from one train station to another I had a taxi driver that kept speaking to me. I used all the French I could think of to avoid getting over charged.
The best taxi driver let my have a child seat for my toddler son. It was very helpful that he provided it. He was friendly and reminded me of a friend of mine that used to work as a taxi driver. Now my friend when he was a taxi driver was amusing to his passengers.
I fell down a drain in Malaysia and badly injured my leg. I went with a pair of crutches in a taxi for four hours. I wasn't well enough with my leg to travel on the local bus. The taxi drove me to the border of Singapore. I thought an older driver would go slowly and safely but he drove just like any other local person. His driving was fast and it could have resulted in danger. We stayed safe and arrived in one piece.

I am scared to ride a cab alone, especially at night. But sometimes I have no choice because I am in a hurry. I hate it when the A/C is not working properly or the inside of the cab is not clean. And most of all I don't like it when the cab driver looks suspicious. I have heard many horror stories regarding cab drivers and that makes me wary of riding one.
