Will Chloe get another Chance?

It looked like Chloe was caught quite off-guard by Chance's sudden proposal. It surprised me too. It just didn't seem to fit the rhythm of their relationship of late...Chance has been busy thinking about Riggs and the people who are targeting him so he hasn't seemed that focused on Chloe. Now suddenly he's ready for marriage and kids? I think Chloe did the right thing to turn him down. Sure, she could've gone through a test engagement period, but that wouldn't really have been fair to Chance if she didn't feel just as committed to the engagement as he did when she said, "Yes." Now the question is is this the end of their relationship or will they hit the reset button? Chance seemed to take it pretty hard so I'm thinking this may have been a deal-breaker for him. Now perhaps he can focus entirely on unraveling the Riggs conspiracy without Chloe holding him back.

It was good that Chloe did turn him down and not just run into another marriage like she had in the past. I applaud her for "growing" up! But probably they'll have Chance go on a tail spin and date others and....
They can't have any happy marriages or even relationships on soaps these days! At least they let Michael and Lauren stay together.. for now. Thing is.. they have married everyone to everyone else, that there isn't really anyone to marry up now!

Well, they can always bring new people for the old characters to marry. I definitely agree with you, though. There needs to be a contrast like there is in real life: some relationships should work out and last and some (OK, the majority) will fail. When they all fail, often within a year or so, that makes things too predictable. It sort of seems like the show is deliberately trying to test every single strong relationship there is on the show at the moment: Jana/Kevin, Michael/Lauren...geez, even Murphy has been missing in action! Part of the problem in my view is that Y&R's writers don't handle parenting/children storylines very well so they don't know what to do when they've got a couple together that has kids other than either break them up or age the kids up to a point where they're comfortable writing for them.

Very well could be. But then I'd have to say...why do they have to bring kids into it so much? I mean...most soaps... the child is very very seldom with both parents, and their parents they are with have been married to others couple times so there are multiple stepdads/moms. It gets rather disgusting to me. On GH...Sonny has 5 kids...Michael..he adopted and MOrgan and both these with his triple x-wife Carly while he went with other women and Carly with one other guy. Now he has a daughter with another woman (his x-attorney) and now finds a son he didn't know he had with someone else.... so here's five characters that could be long term characters.. but they can't be hooked up cause they all have the same father...but then of course all they have to do is years down the road...make it suddenly happen that a DNA test shows he isn't the father to some of them! Quick and easy fix! And dont think it hasn't been done before!!

stupid soaps - I'm sure she'll get another chance (pun intended?). but she probably should have said, "not now" instead of "no"...

The pun was absolutely and entirely intended. I'm glad someone noticed! "Not now" I agree would have been a better answer, but it's pretty tough to turn someone's proposal down gently...if anyone is ever going to take a rejection personally, it's that sort of rejection!

It was to bad that Chance didn't recognize that after Chloe's two other quick marriages, she would want to go slower than that this time. I thought he was pretty hard on her and should have been more understanding.

I was surprised when Chance propose to Chloe in the taxi in New York. Chloe did the right thing because I think she still has some hidden feeling for Billy and should not rush into marriage with Chance.

I feel bad for Chloe. I really thought she would have been in a relationship with Chance for a while. I cannot believe that Chance had proposed. I think it is great that Chance loves Delia. Delia needs a man in her life who will always be there for her. Billy is a father whenever he feels like it. Chloe did the right thing by turning him down. I would hope that the two of them will stay together and build a better relationship first before getting married. My husband and I dated a year and a half before we got engaged and were engaged a year and a half before we got married and are now married almost three years.

You and your husband took your time and did things right. I think that's what Chloe wants to do, too...she doesn't want to rush into marriage and end up with a third divorce. Chance showed his inexperience by proposing so suddenly. Chloe is pretty much his first love. Do you think that perhaps Chance and Chloe are too different to make it work? There's no doubt they care about each other and that they both love Delia, but that may not be enough.
