My granddaughter got one for christmas. What do i dress her in?

I just had to tell you what happened. Tuesday I saw Makinzy nd she told me her doll needed another pair of panties. Why I don't know, but I went into the AG site and have one now. Thanks again

I must say that struck me pretty funny. What do I dress it in? Whatever you like I would suppose. We are a melting pot ya know! I have never heard of these dolls although I remember when I was young I got afew dolls that were from different countries. It all comes back around doesn't it?

When i saw her, i did not know she is a newer fad. She is taller-lankier than most dolls her size. As I said to another freind, I made jeans for her and they were short, just below her knee.

American Girl Dolls are american time periods and are usually dressed in that time period. You can buy, from American Girls, all the accessories that she would need. My granddaughter's favorite is Samantha and she is 1904. For school she had to dress as her favorite book character so I made her a dress that resembled that time period. (NOT sure I will ever use that pattern again!!) There is a whole web site addressed to American Girls. They also have books and movies featuring the 'girl' and some cities even have 'American Girl Clubs'.

You can dress her in anything -- dresses, blue jeans and t-shirts, pant suits, dress suits, funky clothes...anything goes.

Thank you for your respone. I took an older doll pants pattern and made a pair of jeans for her and they looked like capris on her. They were short. Going to try other items though.
