would you sometimes feel more comfortable talking to a complete stranger about your problems rather that someone who you are very close to?

I rather talk to someone really close. LOL i thin it would be awkward to talk to a stranger about a problem.

Your right, its very awkward, but sometimes it helps, just don't talk to total strangers where you don't know if they are good person or a bad one.

In most situations I would prefer to talk to my husband or a close friend instead of a stranger. I feel more comfortable talking to a person that I know very well. I trust my husband and my close friends, amd I am not afraid to tell them about my problems or ask them for advice. On the other hand it is possible to get great advice from a stranger sometimes. Some years ago I was chatting online. In that period of my life I had some problems with my ex-boyfriend, and when I had a private conversation with someone from the chatsite I told him about the problems and he gave some great advice. We only talked to eachother once, but he helped me a lot and he gave some advice which was really useful for me in my situation.

I would have to say I feel more comfortable talking to a stranger. You don't have to worry about offending them and vice versa. I think they will give you a truer opinion than someone who is your friend. I saw someone for awhile that was a stranger. She wasn't a therapist, but she was like that. After awhile we became friendly, but not friends. I think it was much easier to tell her my concerns than my friends. I think she was very honest with me, while I am not sure my friends would be, because of my feelings. I am always worried that my friends will be offended, or think there is something they should do. Sometimes just the discussion is all that is needed.

I don't think talking to a complete stranger is an option. I don't even think that it's right. If you just blurt out your problems to a stranger you might get punched in the face or something.

I would prefer to talk to my friends and family , but some thoughts or feelings that you have, you just would rather not share with a family or friend, where a complete stranger would not judge you or look down on you for having that thought or feeling. so you can share it all,

I feel comfortable when talking to strangers but not totally like you just met the person for the first time then you start talking, strangers like a friend of a friend or a relative whom you are not really close to. I feel so easy with them, they give you the truth because their is no bias in them.

Talk to stranger or to your close friend have it's own pros and cons. Strangers: Pro - They don't know about you and your life, they will speak honestly what they are thinking about. Con - The resolution that they are giving maybe against your culture. Close friend: Pro - They know, feel, and understand your situation, they will give the best advice. Con - They won't tell the truth whether you are right or wrong because they don't want to hurt you. These are some of the example of my opinion. However, I choose my close friends when I feel to talk to.
