Well in one way i agree to the saying as i happened to bump into a old school friend aswell as a work friend whilst i was out side the front of my house the other day and she had broken down so she was walking up the road to use a phone box.At the same time while i was chatting and along came another man from near me and he said he would have a look at her car, next thing i know is she has left her number on a bit of paper and handed that to my daughter aswell as some wine.

Well, that was nice. Doesn't happen every day either. Everyone just passing at that very moment. Pretty convenient. If only more people acting like these people did it would be such a grand world to live in. Not that it doesn't happen, obviously it does, I wish everyone was this way.

hi jugsjugs that reminds me of back in South Dakota when I was a child, towns were far between and it was a sort of unwritten rule that when you met someone with their car broken down on a country road you never went by but always stopped to help as everyone would do that for the other person. they all knew that towns were far between and if you broke down you were really in trouble.sort of nice that nobody was really stranded that way. a friend in need is truly a friend indeed. when my mom had her stroke and I was In arizona with a newborn baby and she and my dad were back in South Dakota the whole town turned out to bring my dad and younger sister food and to help my mom, it was just what people did in a small town I guess but its still sort of lovely too I think.

Yes it is really true and it so sad that there are only few friends I have. Only two is concerned. When I needed to borrow money one is willing to lend me what money she have. One is there to support me emotionally. We are always texting each other and when she have a problem too I am the one she shared it with. One is concerned too but she is not there with my personally. But I am still thankful of having someone to listen to me and makes me a little happy when I am sad. But in real life only me and my family are facing the battle in life. Whenever I have problem personally I don’t share that to my family. Because I have the reason that I don’t want to add to the burden my parents feel. And I don’t want them to worry about me. They are already old I don’t want to give them heartache hahahahaha. Some friends are only there during good times and in bad times little by little they are gone. I hope those friends who are always there for a friend will be bless more by God.

I have trouble imposing to friends whatever trouble or problems I have. And if it comes to money, I would never ask from a friend, even if I am in dire need. I shouldn't say never, because I don't know what the future brings, but I try not to.But that doesn't mean they couldn't approach me. I would gladly help a friend if they need something. I would gladly prove that I am a friend indeed by helping them out once in a while.

definitely one can test his/ her friends on this criteria, as i have done so many time, when in need, just see which of your friend do lend a hand of his or her, and that would be your true friend

Surprising things do happen, and right outside off our home. We never know who we might meet. We could see a old friend we have not seen in awhile. I know when I go places I run into people who I have not seen in awhile. This does not happen all the time, but it does happen.

What a lucky day for your friend! She not only ran into an old friend, but someone stopped to help her with her car. That doesn't happen very often anymore! Everyone is in such a hurry and no-one wants to get involved.

Yeah, as far as I am concerned, I think I can not agree with you more. A friend in need is a friend indeed. So I usually give what I can do to my friends. I just want them to know that I am his friend, no matter what he needs, I will try my best to help him.
