yesterday when I went outside to buy food,I stood in the line and prepare to pay the thing. then a 50years old man asked me "would you lend me your membership card."I said OK.When he've done it and returned my card ,he said ”thank you ,Aunt“ Oh my god.I only 23 years old.why ,why he called me "Aunt". It's so strange,I just stood there and didn't know how to response .Of course,I forgot to say "not at all." why?

Hi dr0czh, May be he showed the respect towards you by calling 'aunty'. It does not mean that you are aged or older than him. Here in my office some older people are coming to make phone calls and they used to call me 'deedi' (elder sister). I never felt bad even though they are older to me but I know that why they are calling me like, just showing their respect. I am equally showing my respect towards them. I think you shocked due to the age difference and you are too small so felt very badly. If you face the same situation again you can face the same in an easier way.

First why is he lending your membership card? Is he one of the staff of that store and what did he do to your card? Well, maybe that is his way of to address you. Do't mind that poor old man.
